Makeup: Which one ?

Makeup is something you do to enhance your beauty and to impress the society or others. We use cosmetic products to do makeup. It’s a way to display our beauty. It enhances our self-esteem. Women love makeup and so do some men. Makeup is like an asset to many women.

Different products have different price range and product variability. There are several brands in name and fame for makeup such as Lakmé, Maybelline, Kay beauty, Nykaa, L'Oréal, Swiss beauty, Colorbar, M.A.C and many more.

Today I am going to give my try and tested honest review on a few makeup brands that are most trusted in INDIA. Let’s start then :--

1. Lakmé-- It comes in affordable price range and has different varieties of products. I have used this product a lot and this was my first brand that I ever used. So I have a good knowledge and experience in this. Lakmé does not provides a lot of shades for foundation. The weightless mousse foundation has just 4 shades. It’s good lighter or medium skin tone people but for darker ones, it has not many options. One more thing is that after applying the Lakmé products or preferably foundation, after some time the face looks cakey. Its gets oxidised. Lakmé being such a big brand should have a big catalogue of shades but shit it does not have.

2. Maybelline -- One of my favourite brands. Its price range goes from medium to very high depending upon the product and its formulation. This brand has great formulation for most of the products. The Fit Me compacts gives a great subtle coverage and it’s not chalky at all. It gets less oxidised. The Super Stay foundation is a great product. It does not need any concealer or extra base, it’s quite heavy though. The finishing powder makes the darker area of your face very smooth and it looks light. The blush section though does not have a greater range of choices for the costumers. The highlighters are brilliant. It give a smooth shiny look. The lipstick shades are damn awesome. The matte ones a fabulous. The cheapest compact of though does not have much choices. Overall it is a good trusted brand by millions of users.

3. Swiss beauty -- A underrated brand. It is uncommon to many people but trust me it’s very nice. The primer is not so good though. It doesn’t fills the pores properly. The high coverage foundation is not actually high coverage. I have used it and it is quite light. Even when you take a lot of foundation it still feels light. The concealer is the best product that swiss beauty has. The shade variety for the compact is not much though. The contour is very pigmented and worth it. The blush has many shades and its very pigmented. The lipsticks though I won’t recommend anybody because I personally didn’t liked it much. The makeup fixer is many people’s love. It’s very long lasting and properly sets your makeup in a short time. The mascara giver volume to your eyes. It is so-so brand with some extraordinarily good products.

4. Nykaa – A new brand and emerging rapidly. One best thing is that it’s foundations are anti-polluting. It does not gets oxidised at all. The packaging of nykaa product is very soothing. The compact if I talk about gives a smooth finish to your face. It has a great variety of blushes which are easily applicable by brushes. The blush is an investible product. The lipsticks are worth investing and day by day it is launching more options. It is a good brand but still new to many.

There are many other awesome brands like Sugar, Fenty beauty, PAC, etc which I have heard from friends that they are worth paying for but since I haven’t used them so, it won’t be fair to review them when I have not used them.

Always try the product before you buy, and it is preferable to buy offline than online. Makeup is something which can cause havoc by one single wrong product.
