How to Clean Your Makeup Sponge
The importance of hygiene in all areas of life cannot be overemphasized. One cannot simply overlook the fact that lack of sanitation and use of uncleaned products can cause a lot of diseases. Same goes for makeup accessories. While we all love to try out new makeup every now and then and buy the makeup accessories which come along with it, not many of us are keen on keeping them clean. It is highly important that you clean your makeup accessories and try not to share them with anyone else, because if you do so, you’ll end up catching a contagious disease, infection or virus the person whom you lent your makeup tools to carries. An infected eye using your mascara can cause you the same infection. To keep your eyes, mouth, and face free of infections, keep your makeup tools clean and to yourself only. Following the same thought, yesterday I decided to clean my makeup brushes, compact puffs & beauty blenders. I searched online and came across a lot of helpful tutorials. After washing and cleaning my makeup accessories, I thought of sharing these steps with others too so that they may benefit as well. These steps are given below. They are very easy to follow and simple to remember.

Hair Dryer: Pros and Cons
Opponents of the device claim that its use is harmful, and it is much more useful to dry the strands in a natural way. At the same time, few of us did not smile at their reflection in the mirror after professional styling, done with a hair dryer, but with the hands of a master. Experts say that you should not blame the device for all troubles. Many causes spoil the condition of the strands, these include:

Finding My Color
No Lipstick When I was a child, my mom didn’t allow me to wear make-up. My family often said that make-up aged you, and that I didn’t need it. Yet these same people would gift make-up to me. So I used it to draw and create artwork. I’d make beautiful faces, and put all sorts of colors together indiscriminately. I did notice however that little white girl’s parents would let them wear whatever makeup they wanted. Even if they looked like little clowns.

Self Care Tips You Need to Know to Prevent Aging
Most people think the effects of age only set in at about midlife. First you’re young, then you suddenly wake up with arthritic knees that can predict a coming storm. You fall asleep in a slightly-wrong position and wake up with a back that hurts so much you can barely make it through the workday sitting at your desk. However, aging starts long before any external signs are apparent. It’s best to cultivate healthy habits as soon as possible to slow down the aging process. No matter how old you are, it’s never too late to begin a healthy new routine.

Living with Dermatillomania
In sixth grade, I started to develop acne. Luckily in school, I was never bullied for the stray white head, but at home, my mother relentlessly picked on me for my physical, and mental, imperfections. And that bullying from my mother became the insecurities I have today, the gap between my teeth, my intelligence, and, most of all, my skin.

ShaveUcation
If your son is already asking about shaving, it's time to think about how you'll prepare him for the milestone. Shaving is a big deal to many boys, and they look forward to it even if they have to wait a while for puberty to catch up with them. Most boys won't develop facial hair until they're well into puberty (generally around age 14 or so), while others may need to begin shaving in the later tween years. Either way, arm yourself with a few handy shaving tips to help your child learn to do it the right way, and so that he knows how to shave safely while practicing good hygiene.

My Fancy Skin Stuff
Welcome all! I’m Alana, and I want to share with you my fancy skin stuff that I should do more often—but I’m way too lazy. I love masks, oils, serums, and my most recent obsession; my jade roller. I'm not going to talk about all the masks I’ve ever used or what didn’t work for me. I just want to share what I like at the moment and what it does for me. I have normal to dry skin, and in Alaska the air is so dry! These are a few products I use outside of my daily face routine. So they are fancy... right?
