Butterbear Bath Bomb Lush Review

Childhood or coated by an oil spillage?

By NPRPublished about a year ago 3 min read

Hello all,

Are you like me mad for Lush to create an atmosphere that allows you to close your eyes and let your mind play out just relaxing wrapped in freshly washed cotton linen? Today, I am reviewing the Butter Bear Bath Bomb for you. A personal go to of mine when I don't feel very experimental.

This has always been one of my favourite items from Lush and my go to when I want something I know I am going to love on an unadventurous day where I just want a more spa like calming experience. No fancy smells or colours and extras e.g. glitter or petals to clean up. The scarf addition onto the bear is very cute and reminds me of almost a soft cotton feel which makes you imagine sleeping on a cloud. After all it may only be two main ingredients in the product but they don't lack on power. Just like a cloud it can offer shade or down pour. So don't let them fool you on the labelling information.

Coco butter is always a nice addition for any product as it is a well know moisturiser and makes an excellence skin preparing soak for shaving. Did you know the smell of cocoa is also said to be a great aphrodisiac no matter the gender? That right its not just for when us women are going through of rough week of the month. Every the males can have a buttery hug.

This unfortunately, has been merged into the snow fairy collection trend of marshmallow smells which I could of done without. It makes you think of that hot sweaty sticky feeling as you pull marshmallows apart. This is advertised as a light vanilla smell but I feel the original was more of a softer presence. Unfortunately, no this product is not edible so you will have to get bring a sack up if your a snacking fan while you read. It's time I look for a new go to product.

The one thing I love about Lush is almost surprises me the amount of knowledge I gain from it's use of natural ingredients where possible. Today this one let me know oil produced by the Cananga tree (Ylang Ylang) has can stimulate the blood flow, help the scalp while encouraging healthy hair growth. I also thought the name sounded Chinese to me, however, it's actually a plant native to Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

I would rate this Lush bath bomb a 3 out of 5. Overall, it a good little gift at the lower price range for when you want to just have something simple without all the unneeded frills, and can't take away form it being one of the products my family members with very sensitive skin can actually have. I just am not a massive fan of the changes to the product as I feel it takes away from the product sometimes less is more. I don't enjoy the smell sadly as much anymore as it seems more overpowering then before. It is still a nice size and you get more then value for the price as it also has a good dissolving speed.

If this review makes you want to give it a try or you have had it before an just love this particular bath bomb the link is available below. The price is £1.95 for the 100g bath bomb. (All prices, ingredients and weights are subjected to time of review.)

If you have tried out the product(s) mentioned in this review I would love to hear your thoughts on them in the comments below.
