Babygirl is very anxious; she has a big presentation today at work today and her promotion depends on it. She needs this promotion, but she is so scared. She sits at the table, sipping her coffee, her leg shakes on the tip of her toes as she tries, but fails, to breathe calmly. Tears start to run down her face as the level of her anxiety becomes overwhelming.

Daddy walks in, looking to make his morning cup of coffee, when he sees that his baby is obviously having a rough time. There are four hours until her presentation.

“Babygirl, have you bathed yet for work?” Daddy asks softly while caressing her hair gently.

“Not yet Daddy,” answers Babygirl in a shaking tearful voice.

“Alright, I’ll run you a nice bubble bath while you drink your coffee. Try to relax and I will come get you when it’s ready.” He kisses her on the forehead gently and gives her a light hug. The feeling of his arms gently wrapping around her sooths her nerves a little as she sips her coffee. About ten minutes later, her coffee is almost gone and in walks Daddy.

“Good timing, your bath is ready my sweet.” He says gently and takes her by the hand to lead her into the bathroom.

She follows him instinctively. She knows from their years together that her Daddy is her safe place. When they get to the bathroom, she notices that he has her favorite candles burning on the sink. They are releasing the intoxicating smell of Midsummer Night that she loves so much. The bubbles are so thick that you cannot see the water. Her bath toys are floating there, inviting her to play. She smiles up at Daddy, “Thank you so much Daddy!” she says through short sobs.

“I will always take care of you my sweet little princess. Now, let’s get you undressed and into the water so I can wash your hair.” He helps her get undressed and holds her hand while she gets in the bath. The bubbles cover her whole body up to her neck. Daddy grabs the big cup on the edge of the tub to wash her long flowing hair. “Lean your head back so I can wet your hair.” He commands gently.

Babygirl obeys, leaning her head back as the warm water washes gently over her head and down her hair. The warm water makes her shiver a little as she feels herself beginning to relax. Daddy gets the shampoo and starts to wash her hair gently. She sighs as every massaging movement of his fingers against her scalp help her to relax further.

“Daddy always knows what to do to sooth my nerves” she thinks to herself. He pours more water over her head to get the soap out, being careful not to get it into her eyes, then adds the conditioner. After he expertly works it through her hair, he grabs the egg timer on the sink and sets it for five minutes.

“You can play until the timer goes off and then we will rinse your hair again.” He tells her. She eagerly grabs her mermaid Barbie and starts swimming her up and down into the bubbles and under them, so it looks like Barbie is jumping over them when she lifts it out. The timer goes off. “Ok time to rinse!” Daddy explains.

Babygirl puts the toy down and tips her head once more. Daddy rinses the conditioner out of her hair and then grabs the scrubby and starts to thoroughly wash her body, starting at her neck and gently working his way down to her toes. When he is finished washing her, he rinses her off, helps her out of the tub and wraps her in a warm towel. “Feeling better?” he asks gently.

“Yes Daddy, thank you.” She replies, smiling up at him.

“Then I have done my job!” he exclaims happily. They go into the living room. She has three hours till her presentation. Daddy puts on her favorite show and cuddles with her for an hour while they watch the show, kissing her forehead and caressing her hair every so often. Daddy then helps her get dressed, gets her to-go coffee ready, and hands her the car keys. “You’ve got this my sweet baby,” he says with one final kiss. His lips touch hers gently as he wraps his arms around her tightly. Call me when your done and let me know how it went!” he adds.

“Of course Daddy.” She replies, as she grabs her purse and leaves for work, now confident that she will be successful. He always makes her feel loved and secure.
