10 Ways to Get Rid of Acne Naturally
Acne is not contagious. However, some people think they catch acne from kissing someone who has acne.
Acne occurs when your body produces too much oil. This can happen if you are overweight or have oily skin. Your body makes extra sebum (oil) to protect your skin from bacteria that live on your skin. When your body doesn't need this extra oil, it gets stored in your glands. These glands then release the excess oil into your pores.
Acne usually starts out as whiteheads or blackheads. Whiteheads are small bumps filled with clear fluid. Blackheads are larger than whiteheads and contain black material. Both types of blemishes appear on your face, back, chest, shoulders, neck, arms, legs, and buttocks.
You may get acne at any age. But it's most common between ages 10 and 20.
There are many different kinds of acne. Some people only get pimples while others get both pimples and cysts.

Acne can last for years. But it usually goes away after puberty.
1. Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is a great natural remedy for acne. It helps to cleanse your skin and remove dead cells that can clog pores. Mix equal parts lemon juice and water and apply this mixture directly onto your face. Leave it on for about ten minutes before rinsing off. Repeat twice daily until your acne clears up.
2. Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil has powerful anti-bacterial properties, making it effective against many different types of bacteria. It's a popular ingredient in natural remedies for acne, and can help clear up breakouts fast. To use tea tree oil, mix 1/4 cup of tea tree oil with 2 cups of witch hazel. Apply the mixture to your face once per day.
3. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid, which kills bacteria and balances out PH levels in your body. This makes it a splendid home cure for zits. Add teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to a tumbler of warm water. Soak a washcloth in the solution and place it over your acne. Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse away.
4. Use Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has been used for thousands of years due to its many health benefits. This includes acne treatment since it contains lauric acid that helps reduce inflammation and prevent bacteria from forming. In addition, coconut oil can help moisturize your skin and keep it soft and supple.
5. Drink Lots of Water
Drinking water is essential to keeping your body hydrated. When you are dehydrated, your body produces more oil than usual, causing clogged pores and acne breakouts. Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day to avoid this problem.
6. Eat More Fruits and Vegetables
Fruits and vegetables contain vitamins and minerals that promote healthy skin. They also have antioxidants that protect against free radicals, which cause damage to cells and DNA. Antioxidants also help fight off bacteria and viruses that could lead to pimples.
7. Use exfoliating products
Exfoliation removes dead cells from your face, revealing fresh, clean skin underneath. You can use scrubs, loofahs, or even salt scrubs to remove dead skin cells. Be careful not to scrub too hard though, or else you may irritate your skin.
8. Eat foods rich in vitamin A
Vitamin A is known for its ability to reduce inflammation. Foods rich in vitamin A include carrots, sweet potatoes, cantaloupe, spinach, kale, broccoli, and mangoes.
9. Baking Soda
Baking soda is a mild exfoliant that gently removes dead skin cells without irritating the surrounding area. Mix 1/4 cup baking soda with enough water to make a paste, apply to face, leave on for 5-10 minutes, then rinse off thoroughly. Use once or twice a month to keep your complexion clear.
10. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera contains many healing properties, including vitamins A, B-complex, C, E, and K; calcium; iron; magnesium; zinc; copper; manganese; and pantothenic acid. These minerals are necessary for healthy skin and hair, and aloe vera is a great way to get them into your diet. Apply fresh aloe vera gel directly to affected areas 2 times per day. You may also want to try using aloe vera juice instead of plain aloe vera gel.
