Nashville-based singer/songwriter Xoë Miles is the very definition of a one-woman powerhouse. She often writes, records her background vocals, and even mixes and masters her songs. On her latest release, the vibey and emotive single “I Said It”, Xoë collaborated with fellow Nashville talent Olivia Gunn to write the track, while Joseph DePrizio served as engineer. The song blends smooth production with lyrical vulnerability, showcasing Xoë’s knack for crafting music that’s as authentic as it is sonically rich.

Get to know this rising star in our Q&A below!

For those readers who are new to you and your music, why don’t you tell us some basics—where are you from and how did you get started in the music industry?

Hey guys! So, I’m Xoë Miles, and I’m an alt pop singer-songwriter! I’m originally from Montgomery, Texas, but now I live in Nashville, Tennessee. I’ve always been singing, but I started taking music seriously after I went to a songwriting camp when I was 12, where we wrote, recorded, and performed our own original song. I’ve been writing, recording, and playing out ever since! I love making music that has a fresh sound to it with relatable lyrics.

Who are some of your biggest inspirations?

Selena Gomez, Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Zara Larsson, Tate McRae. The list could probably go on forever. I love the pop girlies.

Living in Nashville, the songwriting hub of America, how do you connect with other songwriters and set yourself apart?

I love to make friends at the different writers rounds and shows that I play! Doing that as well as connecting through Instagram is usually the way to go. It’s also always a fun time when a co-writer friend introduces you to another writer and the vibes are right.

As far as setting myself apart… I feel like the way to set yourself apart in general is honestly to just be yourself, because if you’re an authentic person on top of bringing what you do best confidently to the table, people are going to remember and value that for sure.

Your latest single “I Said It” is available now. What inspired that song and what is it about?

Yes, OMG, I love this song! I co-wrote and co-produced it with my best friend Olivia Gunn, and Joey Deprizio mixed and mastered it. We kind of just wanted a fun song about liking someone that doesn’t exactly want to be with you—AKA they chose someone else—and we just wanted to write a sassy song about how you’re telling them you could give them so much better.

It’s totally unlike anything I’ve ever put out before, and writing it was an absolute blast!

I know songs are like your own children, and picking a favorite is hard, but if readers could only hear one song of yours, which one would you want them to listen to?

I’d honestly have to say “Miss Me”! That song was also worked on with Olivia and Joey, and it was actually our first session together. I went home that night and demoed it, and sent it over to them to get thoughts on it, and it all just kind of happened really smoothly, so that’s what’s out in the world now!

I feel like it was really my turning point as far as being confident in my sound goes.

You have some new music coming soon as well! What can you tell us about that?

I do! I’m currently in the process of finishing up the mixes and masters for a 14-song album that’ll probably be released by the end of this year, and maybe a single or two from it before the whole thing drops. I’m planning in advance for it all, and I’m so excited for y’all to hear it!

When you’re not making music, what can we find you doing?

In my free time, I love either playing video games or working out! Right now, I’m on a Black Ops 6 kick, but I love playing Fortnite and PEAK, with the occasional Roblox Dress To Impress thrown in there. Or every once in a while, if I’m feeling “crazy”, I’ll go out to do karaoke with Olivia!

Where can fans see you live?

All of my shows are listed under the “shows” tab on my website!

What is the best way for fans to connect with you?

My Instagram and TikTok are both @xoemiles, and my website is xoemiles.com.

What would you like to say to your fans, both old and new?

Hey besties! I hope you’re having an AMAZING week and are living your best life! Always remember that you’re the best because you are YOU, and no one else can bring what you have to the table, just by existing. ❤️
