
Leo Sayer came into this life on May 21, 1948 and is a British-Australian singer and songwriter. He launched his career in the UK. In 1978 his song “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing” won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Song.
“How Much Love” is a popular song that was recorded by the British singer and songwriter Leo Sayer in 1977. The song was written by Sayer and Barry Mann. It is featured on Sayer’s 1976 album Endless Flight. The song quickly became an international Top 10 hit. It charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and Cashbox charts.
“I Can’t Stop Loving You (Though I Try)” is an emotional ballsed that is featured on the 1978 album Leo Sayer. It was the first single released and became a Top 10 hit in the UK.
"Long Tall Glasses (I Can Dance)" is a 1974 song that was recorded by Sayer and co-written with David Courtney. When it was released in the UK, it became Sayer’s third hit on both the British and Irish singles charts. It is featured on his album Just a Boy. The song became Sayer’s first Top 10 hit as a solo artist in the US and charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
“More Than I Can Say” was among Sayer’s major hits in the 1970s and early 1980s. The song was originally written in 1960 by the Cricketts just after Buddy Holly passed away. It is featured on Sayer’s 1980 album Living in a Fantasy. This was the first single released from the album and charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and went to number one on the Adult Contemporary chart.
“One Man Band” is a song that was originally recorded by the Who lead singer Roger Daltrey. It was written by David Courtney and Leo Sayer. A year later Sayer recorded the song, and it became one of his biggest hits, charting on the UK Singles chart.
“Orchard Road” is a song recorded by Sayer in 1983 and is the second single from his album Have You Ever Been in Love. It charted on the UK Singles chart and became his final Top 20 hit until he recorded “Thunder in My Heart Again” in 2006.
“The Show Must Go On” is a song that was recorded by Sayer in 1973 and was co-written by Sayer and David Courtney. When released, the song became his first hit record and is featured on his debut album, Silverbird.
“Thunder in My Heart” was recorded by Sayer in 1977. In 2006 he did a remixed dance version titled “Thunder in My Heart Again.” The original song is featured on his album of the same name. It was written by Sayer and Tom Snow. The song charted on both the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles charts.
"You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" is a song recorded by Sayer and is featured on his album Endless Flight. It was written by Sayer and Vini Pncia. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming Sayer’s first top single in the US. It also charted on the UK Singles chart. Sayer performed the song on “Saturday Night Live” and the second episode of Season 3 of “The Muppet Show.”
“When I Need You” is a song that was written by Albert Hammond and Carole Bayer Sager. It is featured on Hammond’s 1976 album of the same name. When Leo Sayer recorded the song it went to number one on the UK Singles chart as well as the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also charted on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart. Leo Sayer performed it on “The Muppet Show.”
