Music Carrier Fighting
Music Carrier Fighting Successful people are not successful because they are smart or talented, but because they are successful because they do the right things. Tom was ready to be an artist, but he wasn't ready to do what he was doing. He did the things he needed to do to move forward, but it was not successful and did not create a profitable and stable career over time.

Tay-K: Running the Race
Didn’t Beat the Case, Do the Race Taymor McIntyre, a young rapper out of Texas, (unfortunately) lived the life that he raps about in his music. After a home invasion in 2016, young Tay-K went on the run — evading a capital murder charge. This is partially because of the courts intent on trying him as an adult. The way the justice system holds black children to a different standard is so obvious, but that’s a quarrel for a different time.

Abel Tesfaye: The Legend of “The Weeknd”. Top Story - June 2021.
The mysticity in which The Weeknd operates shrouds his undying stardom in pop culture. The melancholic persona that he portrays (pictured above) adds to the allure and mystery of one of the biggest stars in the last 10 years. By demystifying this character, we can see just how prominent his rise to stardom has been. From here, we dive into the life of the self-dubbed “King of the Fall”.

My Fatal Flaw
“If you’re going to San Francisco”, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair…” -Scott McKenzie This song was released in 1967 when I was in the 7th grade. It was probably one of the first tics on my inner compass that eventually took me there. Over the years, I envisioned myself in a long skirt, tye-dyed dancing barefoot in a Woodstock-like place. I was 14 when the real Woodstock took place in August of 1969 on Yasgurs farm in New York. Of course, my parents wouldn’t let me go.

Be Happy And Shine
Yesterday I published a story of an amazing singer who calls herself Nightbirde (real name Jane Marczewski). Later on I decided to dig in a little deeper. I was curious to know how somebody who is just thirty years of age, who has had cancer three times and been given just a two percent chance of survival, who still has cancer in three parts of her fragile body and to top it all was abandoned by her husband in the midst of her worst hours, what on earth has this woman got that has enabled her to reign victorious on America's Got Talent?

Across Cultures
“Every night in my dreams. I see you; I feel you. That is how I know you go on….” As I prepare for church on Sunday morning, I’d mumble these lyrics. The song “My Heart Will Go On” by Céline Dion. I didn’t know English; I spoke Swahili, the language we speak in Tanzania, East Africa.

2021 saw a new low for the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest. For the first time, the UK got exactly no points from either the national jury vote or the popular vote. However, the real question needs to be: Does coming last in the competition really mean you are a loser?

How I Became a Kmusic Fan?
As a 28-year-old who's new to all this, how did I get into Kmusic? I didn’t become interested in it until I heard this song playing in the background of a YouTube animation in 2019. The song had some English lyrics so I googled those. The song was called “POP/STARS” by K/DA. I then searched and found it on Spotify. Let me tell you, I played that song WAY too many times, over and over. After that, Spotify started recommending Korean artists to listen to. It was at that moment, I found SuperM. Their first mini-album wasn’t released yet. So I watched all the trailers/teasers on YouTube. (First Impression/Reaction to these coming soon) I practiced learning the members’ names as well. All of this was so new to me but I wanted to get their names right. Their individual video concepts and visual effects/editing blew my mind. Korean music videos have so much going on. It makes me want to re-watch the videos again and again. Jopping came out a few days later and it was my jam for weeks. I loved the choreography, their vocals, styling, visual effects; pretty much everything. The whole video attacked and slapped me in the face. Unfortunately, I’ve never been to a Kpop concert. I hope to go to one after Covid is over. I really want it to be SuperM or SHINee/Taemin concert. Because of SuperM, I have found other K-artists/groups to listen to.
