A Few of My Favourite Tyneside Bands
Introduction A lot of these bands are no longer with us but all of them were worth seeing when they were performing. A lot are still going as well so all is not lost. A couple such as Bon Jordi, Radge Against The Machine and Benwell Floyd are not included because they are from a decade back and I have not heard of them recently.

A look back: live lounge at the Angel on the 13th of August
It feels like only the other day I was writing about the showcase at river studios, but it has surprisingly almost been a month since I published that article. Time does fly, but the gigs don't stop. In this article I want to take a look back at the live lounge gig I organised on Friday the 13th of August. Before I do, however, I would very much like to thank all the acts that took part. Some familiar faces as we will later in this article and some new ones. Thanks also to Angel Inn for allowing me to put on this event and supporting it. Finally, thanks to everyone who brought a ticket and came along to the event. You are fabulous and doing a great job in supporting live music.

One of the Greatest Underrated Album
Over the years there’s been millions and millions of albums created. So many albums that are either mainstream or underground. They would play under a specific genre, or multiple genres. And there’s some albums that pioneer new genres many have never heard from. Which brings focus to this album called THE GHOST~POP TAPES.

Getting to know musical artist Antonio Zarco
Antonio Zarco is an aspiring vocalist from Monroe Township, NJ. He learned how to sing before he learned how to talk. One can say, he had his first performance when he was 2 years old and sang "Happy Birthday" in both English and Portuguese at his little sister's birthday party. Antonio continued to pursue his interest in music by participating in school choirs all throughout elementary, middle & high school and currently in college. Antonio's accolades include: Member of OAKE National Honor's Choir for 1 year, Member of Central Jersey Music Educators Association (CJMEA) Mixed Chorus for 7 years, Member of New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA) Mixed Chorus for 4 years and Member of NAfME All Eastern Honors Ensemble Mixed Chorus for 1 year.

Dutch Brown’s Lyrically Loaded “Deus Per Vicos” LP is Poised to Smash Records
Dutch Brown has released a masterpiece, carefully crafted and poured over, from the title to the intricately laid rap bars in his latest LP, 'Deus Per Vicos.' The title, translating to "God through the villages," explains a lot about Dutch. Dutch Brown's history on the streets, in cipher after cipher, refining his craft day in and day out, eventually caused a buzz in New York without the help of social media. Dutch's talent, lyricism, and gritty energy, were discussed far and wide, and the news about someone spitting heat traveled by word of mouth. I can only expect with this latest project that the good news about 'Deus Per Vicos' will surely go just as far, if not exponentially farther, given the well-laid plans for its release.

Tarrytown's Drew Bordeaux Let’s his Musical Impulse/Instinct Lead the Way
Drew Bordeaux of Tarrytown recently released a new CD called Impulse/Instinct, and of course, he’s got the songs cued up on Spotify. However, the Fox Lane graduate is pretty succinct in regards to whether the platform can yield any real returns. “No,” Bordeaux assured, but the multitalented artist has so much going for him that it’s not surprising how easily he rolls with the reality.

Man Man On Oni Pond (Album Review)
If you go to experimental rock band Man Man's website and scroll down just a bit, you'll see this announcement: "Who We Are: The best, independent band in the world." Them's fightin' words! It's hard to disagree. For sure, the Philadelphia-based multi-instrumental band Man Man is one of the best bands to ever come out of Philly. In all of ever. Did I mention, in ever too?

What to Expect at a STRFKR Show (Concert Review)
One of the best things about seeing live shows is you never know what you're going to get. You might think you have a pretty good grasp on a band's music. You might have listened to all of the their albums innumerous times. Maybe you even have friends who told you the group puts on a great live show. And though your only expectation of going to the gig is to have a good time, you end up getting something completely different. Which is exactly what you'll get if you go to a STRFKR show.
