Most Memorable Rock Singers Who Passed Away
Rock and roll legends have helped pave the way for modern day musicians. Whether it was their riffing guitars or booming drums, you cannot take away from the breathtaking vocals that come from the lead singer. Indeed, the lead singer is the voice of the band (both literally and figuratively), and the one who tells the story and helps to bring raw emotion into each and every song. Unfortunately, many of the most legendary vocalists from eras past have since moved on to their resting places. It is these rock and roll greats that we can thank for the classic songs that we still play today, and for the modern day music that stems from those who came before us. For those who have a passion for music, especially the rock and roll genre, these iconic figures and their iconic deaths will not be forgotten. Let's take a look at some of the most memorable rock singers who have passed away.

Music as Communication, Not a Sensation
I sang before I ever talked. Apparently, my uncle Jack was visiting my parents and I started singing "Scarborough Fair" by Simon and Garfunkel. I'd heard that song numerous times since my parents were huge fans of the duo. Of course, I didn't know how to articulate the words... but I could sing them.

Unpacking Jay Z's '4:44'
I'll admit I was both excited and nervous to write this review. I've given quick verbal reviews for people who've asked but it’s been hard for me to sit down and write. For me, it’s overwhelming. Not only is this Jay-Z’s 13th album, but there’s just so much to unpack. The album covers literally (yeah, I’m from Jersey) everything. I can’t mess this up, but I put my nerves to the side and decided to do it. I had to formally review the album, how can I not? So I lived with the album, more so than any other project.

With the abundance of bands, solo artists, rappers, DJs, and singing groups, there is a massive amount of musicians that one would have to surpass to climb their way onto the top music charts. And if that seems hard enough to get onto the charts, imagine how hard it is to get your name and music out there so people will begin to listen and appreciate the music that you have created. There are millions of people that put themselves out there and post their own videos on YouTube. Best Michael Jackson 'Thriller' Songs. Top Story - July 2017.
Michael Jackson, also known as MJ and the King of Pop, was an iconic star in pop culture throughout his life. He began in a band with his older brothers known as the Jackson 5 but quickly moved on to a long solo career which landed him countless awards. His album, Thriller, is still the best-selling album of all time to this day. The intense popularity of this album was not only a musical and cultural phenomenon but very important because its success helped to pave the way for other Black artists. He was one of the first popular Black artists to consistently air music videos on MTV. It's nearly impossible to go through life without knowing the chorus by heart to at least one of his songs, especially off of this album. But if you're wondering which of the songs on this album are the top of the top, here are the best Michael Jackson Thriller songs ever recorded.

Documentary 2 + 2.5 Review
The Documentary 2 Opening Opinion 9.9/10 The Documentary 2.5 Opening Opinion 10/10 Okay, so this is technically a double in depth review… but let me kill two birds with one stone. These albums really blew me away. In October of 2015, I knew The Game was dropping a sequel to his former best album, The Documentary. What I didn’t know, is that he was dropping another album right after that… like a week after that. First I’ll talk about 2, then 2.5.

Drake Albums
8)What a Time to Be Alive (84) Drake’s collaboration with Future is his worst album and it's just a collection of songs that aren't really about much of nothing special. Still catchy tho. If you like Future you won’t mind these songs. Top Tracks: Jumpman, Big Rings, Digital Dash.

The Day I Found Nirvana - A Tribute to Kurt Cobain's Enduring Legacy
(This tribute was originally written on what would have been Kurt Cobain's 50th birthday). I originally wasn't going to wish Kurt Cobain a happy 50th birthday today, because I've grown out of Nirvana a little bit after being a fan since I first heard Nevermind when I was around 14. But I still remember the first time I listened to "Smells Like Teen Spirit," and I remember what that all lead to.

'The College Dropout' Review
Before I was put on to this album by my friend Jay (Jimmy), R.I.P.; I had heard very little from Kanye (Like most everyone else at the time). After hearing the album for the first time I had concluded that Mr. West wasn’t just a good rapper and a great producer, but he was going to be in the game for a long time.
