Two Undiscovered Bands with Music That Will Be Stuck in Your Head All Day
One of my favorite things to do is to find new music from unsigned artists and bands. There are so many humans in today’s world just trying to make music and share what they feel through an outlet that is easily relatable. We all have our own style and taste to music, but I do like to consider myself someone who is open to listen to all kinds of music. My boyfriend is in a metal core band (Devil in the Details, check them out!) and I could not be any prouder of the music they make. I also listen to artists like Post Malone, Julia Michaels, Khalid, and bands such as Neck Deep, Knuckle Puck and many others. The point is, do not let the term of genres shy you away from music you could potentially fall in love with. Keep your mind open to the art that any individual could create.

The Rise of the New Boy Bands
As we all know boy bands have never gone away for very long. They’ve been around for a long time in music history. From The Jackson 5, The Temptations, Backstreet Boys, N’Sync to the newer ones like Big Time Rush and One Direction, they’ve never really died down as many people thought they would. Sure there were times when no boy band was around but it was always a pretty short amount of time before a new one came around. After all the 90s boy bands were over everyone thought it was the end of that style of music, but then came bands like One Direction or Big Time Rush which brought them back. And we all know how big One Direction became because we will always know the chorus to “What Makes You Beautiful” even if some people don’t want to admit that.

An Eagles Tribute
No matter what generation you were born of or where you reside on planet Earth, you are aware of the country/classic rock band known as The Eagles. While I was in the Navy, I went all over, and it was always surprising to hear of the familiar trio of things that Americans are known for: cowboy hats, Zippo lighters, and The Eagles. I was amused the first time I heard this random list, but then I kept hearing it – no matter the country I visited. I tried to assure these local nationals that: 1) Not everyone wears Cowboy hats in America – even out west, for that matter. 2) Zippo lighters are nice and come with a lifetime guarantee, but not all Americans smoke, and of the ones that do… well, most of them use cheap throw-away lighters. However, for The Eagles, I could not rebuke, They are the American band... and we are proud of them.

Who's Who on Lady B's List?
Hola hola my darlings! Lady B here again with a few other bands that I feel y’all would get a kick out of. This entry is to pay homage to groups that are local to the New York City area. As music lovers, it is always a pleasure getting to see and know bands that live within our own locations. When a person finds a new band that they like, it tends to be a bittersweet thing; at least from my experience. This is because while I may have found a band that has a sound and presence that I can completely get behind; most of the time, they are a band that is COMPLETELY “out of my jurisdiction.” Artists such as Karen Stever from Ontario, Canada, The Scars Heal In Time hailing from Texas, Infinity Spree from Ohio, POYNTE from Georgia; the list goes on. You all I bet have had this dilemma every now and then where a band you love is playing on a tour but it turns out they are playing NO WHERE NEAR YOU! It flat out sucks!

#OutHedley2k18: The Perspective of a Former Fan Girl
This week, popular Canadian pop-rock band Hedley were hit with numerous allegations of sexual harassment and assault against young female fans. As a former hard core fan of theirs, the allegations are shocking and have me reflecting on all their shows I've been.

Why You Should Listen to Brockhampton
Hip-hop has become the predominant genre of music in the United States. It offers listeners a wide variety of topics that can relate to one's life in many ways. However, something fresh and innovative was needed in a year full repetitive sounds. And this is when the experimental L.A. "boyband" Brockhampton saturated us (no pun intended) with three full-length projects in the span of a couple months. The Saturation trilogy will stand through the ages as one of the most risky but smart projects ever released, and its formula challenges modern sounds in a great way that will leave your mouth watering after each track. But what makes their craft so unique and powerful?

Let's Talk About K-Pop
We live in a world filled with a thousand different music genres, so much, that sometimes we hear some song we like and we don’t find the specific place to categorize it. Like the rivers, music genres are intercepted and converted to some place, where it gets stuck and at one moment, by different factors, the cycle begins again.
