My First Experience with Punk Rock Bowling
Music Festivals have always been the cornerstone of experiencing bands live in a short amount of time. Dating all the way back to sixth century BC with the Pythian Games. Then being defined with the advent of an event like Woodstock in the 1960s. Now they have become a world wide tradition with endless events around the globe. Some incredibly big and popular like the annual Download Festival, which encompasses a variety of Metal, Punk, and Hard Rock acts. To something as small as say the Mad Tea Party Jam, a festival encompassing Music, art, and camping. Featuring a ton of bands that I've never heard of in my lifetime and large Alice in Wonderland architechture. Id link the actual website for you but the domain is up for sale. RIP to MTP and all hail... Beardfest? Either way there is litterally a festival for every kind of genre in existance. No matter how experimental or obscure it would appear to be. One genre that has a whole slew of them is Punk Rock. A place that is growing with live music festivals is Sin City. So one of the festivals to come out of there is the famous Punk Rock Bowling music festival. As the title suggests the event consists of 80% Punk Rock and 20% actual bowling. Las Vegas and Punk Rockers seems like something that would merge beautifully don't you think?

The Soundtrack of my Life...
First up, would be LeAnn Womack's I Hope You Dance. I have a vauge memory of being in the car with my mother at some point in my tumultuous childhood and this song came on the radio and she looked at me and said "If I could dedicate one song to you and to all my girls(she had three daughters including me) it would be this song." My mother and I had a rocky relationship while I was growing up to say the least and it still is but after that statement I suppose I tried to see the beautiful parts of her. She loved us, she loved me and this song as beautiful as it is, is and was her way of saying that. All her hopes and dreams for me and my sisters wrapped up in a song.

Rise Up
Grief. One would think that at some point it would be finished. Healed. Processed into wisdom. And yet, here I sit. Sobbing. He is off communing with a 30 year old, at 66. I can spiritualize that...he is recovering his passion, his muse. Should I not do the same? He is most certainly calling her "his angel" and tenderly caring about her thoughts and feelings. Afterall, it was I who left I, the fallen angel, the "psychotic b.", the one who left. I, who never let us run out of toilet paper, had dinner on the table every night, was the conduit for 2 beautiful children, and yes, I, who wanted a life of my own. Or at least to grow. Not by myself. I wanted 2 whole lives together-Not a half a life. To grow together would have been ideal, everything I ever dreamed of, but if not, how could I stop myself from becoming?

Longing, Belonging
You always hurt the one you love I am memorizing the state capitals, sitting on the bed in my room. Montgomery, Alabama. The punny one -- Juneau, Alaska. It’s cold, and the house has no heat. Phoenix, Arizona – near where my dad moved after the divorce.

Baker's Dozen: Vocal Milestones (2023 Playlist Edition)
Been on Vocal over two years. I have very little to show for all that time - and 127 posts. But, I do have a few things that could be considered “Milestones” here. And, what luck - most either have playlists embedded or I have a track in mind already. Last few hours of the challenge in mind, so let’s see how quick I can ruin this.

My Life's Playlist
Music has been something I have looked to for a spectrum of emotions. I presume many other people in this world do the same as me. I listen to quite a few genres, but there are songs in particular that I appreciate from genres I do not usually listen to. For the purpose of this story and challenge, I will be focusing on songs that speak to me on a very personal level.

A computer is best for listening to the playlist as it will show you the matching playlist order. Enjoy dreaming.
