Album Lookback: Dirty Computer by Janelle Monaé
Janelle Monáe dwells in a distinctive stratum, an immediately distinguishable visage—magazine covers, Super Bowl adverts—sans hit singles or a classic album (yet). She shares this unique realm with artists like Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, esteemed performers who rekindle your parents' faith in modern music yet without omnipresence. Candidly, it's enticing.

Beauty After Bruises by Louise Distras
Introduction I first saw Louise about five years back and was so impressed I bought her "Street Revolution" EP and then made the faux-pas of talking to her backstage and not realising it was her at first. C'est La Vie.

Seven CDs: A Progressive Review
APRIL 13, 2023 CLUB MTV PARTY TO GO, VOLUME ONE - Various Artists Interesting find, surely. I was drawn by Information Society and Tommy Boy records (due to their association to I.S.), being familiar with not only "Think" but their eponymous debut and a few other songs. "Turn This Mutha Out" and "Personal Jesus" were the two other recognizable tracks for me. It was cool to recognize a few other tracks, including "The Humpty Dance", which called to mind the scene in Nothing But Trouble. I was cleaning and then snuggling with our kitten, so I mostly just listened in the background. \m/, B']

1234 - Of Course, It's A Ramones Playlist
Introduction The reason being is that every live and some studio Ramones songs start with the shout "1 2 3 4". I remember buying "Blitzkrieg Bop" and then their first album and someone described their songs like smarties, you can't have just one, you gotta swallow the whole tube.
