Garbage Albums Ranked
One of the first songs I bought on iTunes for my iPod Classic was #1 Crush by Garbage. I had stumbled across it on Youtube and fell in love with Shirley Mason's sultry vocals. The moaning in the track's introduction is a great touch to the song and helps make the song sound sexy—the depth of the lyrics and hard-hitting music. Listening to the song makes me think of the '90s now. The 1990s brought a renaissance to many music genres, particularly grunge and bubblegum pop. Garbage, in my opinion, falls into neither of those categories. Garbage is a great rock band with an alternative flavour.

BTS made 2020 endurable with "Map of the Soul: 7" and "BE"
I previously wrote about my experience booking tickets to see my favourite musical act of all time, BTS, on stage in Toronto for May 2020. When I think back on how completely ecstatic I was with this upcoming event, I wonder whether there will ever be a time when I would feel that way again.

To Chloe x Halle, Riley and Jojo
I discovered 73 new artists, listened to 63 different genres of music, added 101 new songs to my playlist, and downloaded 37 new albums to my Spotify library. But only three artists had my eardrums going throughout the last quarter of this year.

Bunker Rock Reviews: Ashes Fly Like Memories
Release Date: December 21st 2020 We're going to do something a bit different today on BRR. Up until now, our reviews have been about big names like Smashing Pumpkins and Run The Jewels, whom as much as we love 'em—aren't really wanting for such attention. Instead, Obsidian Eagle is determined to go full indie by reviewing a recent EP from fellow 'chordist' and recording artist, Drew Haze. OE thinks you’ll find as he has that this demo disc deserves some serious consideration.

Review of 'McCartney III'
I was never one to look for differences between the Beatles on their individual own and when they were The Beatles. To my ear and soul, Paul, John, George, and Ringo on their own sounded far more like The Beatles, captured and continued their extraordinary essence far better than any other artist. Sure, some solo numbers sounded more like The Beatles than others. I heard "Ticket to Ride" in Paul's "My Brave Face," and when someone told me it evoked "Things We Said Today," I could immediately hear it.

Bunker Rock Reviews: RTJ4
Release Date: June 3rd 2020 Today we look back at one of 2020's best hip-hop albums, which speaks truth to power while at the same time remaining highly entertaining. I'm referring of course to the fourth studio album by Run The Jewels: RTJ4. In fact I'll go so far as to nominate it Bunker Rock Album of the Year and plenty of reasons for that will be given below. But first I just want to say that anyone who thinks that hip-hop or rap and rock are somehow mutually exclusive, is clearly unfamiliar with the likes of Run DMC collaborating with Aerosmith, En Vogue's Free Your Mind, or early Linkin Park. Now, barring further fuss, I'm about to start swinging!

Sounds of Christmas 2020
I’m always amazed every year how unexpected seasonal albums suddenly pop up from seemingly nowhere as each turn of the calendar gets closer to December, but even as dismal and unsettling as 2020 has been, a short list of new Christmas albums somehow managed to appear and command my seasonal attention.

4 Albums Released In 2020 I Didn't Know About
Although the pandemic has put a stop to many artist's tours, it hasn't stopped anyone from creating new music. I would argue that this has been one of the best years for music, which is understandable because, if you're responsible, then you're staying at home and don't have much going on (as Taylor Swift would say).

Nightwish Albums Ranked
Nightwish albums are difficult to rank. They’re one of my favourite bands in the world of rock and metal. No matter where and how I rank my album taste it will cause a fight over the best singer. If I say Tarja is the best, they say it's just nostalgia. If I say Annette is the best, I get branded a fake metal fan. If I say Floor, they’ll say I’m a traitor for not supporting the original line-up. Most of the rivalry is created by fans.
