A Plagiaristic Playlist
Introduction There are many songs that borrow from others, some acknowledge their source, and some don’t. Some are deliberate and some are accidental. These are some that I have noticed over my life and you may agree with me or disagree with me, some are obvious and some are a little harder to discern but hopefully, you will enjoy all of them. All of the songs are excellent it;s up to you whether or not you agree with me, but hopefully, this will spur some commentary.

Sam Fender - The Shields Springsteen
What This is About I am sixty five years old and I see so many people going on about how rubbish modern music is. It's true that our musical tastes are formed between the ages of fourteen and sixteen and I still love the music that I was exposed to at that age, though I also picked up a guitar and thought I could maybe make it, fifty years on I am still trying to teach myself though people say that my singing sounds a bit like Neil Young.

Ivy Queen, the first female Reggaeton artist
As you may know it is National Hispanic Heritage Month or Latin American Heritage Month. In this article, this is the story of Puerto Rican female artist that dominated the Reggaeton music genre long before Becky G,Karol G, and Anitta were born.

Listening To Music On The Move
Introduction I have had some issues with phones dying on me, using backup phones and eventually landing up with my Google Pixel 4XL. Since I got it I have not actually listened to any music on it even though I have some excellent wireless earphones/buds. I did load some music on for when I was going to use it but when I was walking I just didn’t bother listening to anything.

Song Lyrics Gone Horribly Wrong
One thing that I’ve always found pretty funny was making up alternate song lyrics to popular music. I learned this from one of my closest friends when we were much younger. We’d be driving around to various places and he’d always have some sort of spin on the lyrics. Typically, they were crude and hilarious.

The Best Bands My Girls Introduced Me To
One aspect of becoming adults and having children is sharing our love of music with our kids. We have a jump start of anywhere from eight to ten years on them in the regard to music choices. We have to make the most of this window of opportunity to set them straight about cool music.

Li’l Beethoven By Sparks
Introduction Yes, this is an album review, although the digital deluxe version of this has three more songs than the beautifully packaged book CD that I originally bought. It is an album that I play quite often but is not a rock album and is more like some classical or musical-based format. This sees a move into a more classical-influenced sound, with a heavy reliance on repetitive lyrics and piano lines, synthesized orchestration and multi-tracked vocals in place of percussion.

'Hell Freezes Over'
In 1990, after a decade of solo projects and television/film work, the Eagles attempted to reunite in the studio; however, when Glenn Frey pulled out at the last minute, prospects again became cold. Then, three years later, Eagles manager Irving Azoff was putting together Common Thread, a country music tribute album to the band, when Travis Tritt, who was covering "Take It Easy" for the collection suggested that members of the Eagles appear in the song's video, which all of them did.

The Extreme Violence Of Folk Music and Murder Ballads
Introduction I am currently listening to “Sweet Child” by Pentangle, a live album I had for sale on Discogs but have now withdrawn as it is so good. I am sure that they have some violence somewhere in their music but here are a few of my favourites.
