Stuzii

Robert Selviah, known by his stage name Stuzii, produces big room electro-house music and records the majority of his music being surrounded in scenic nature. Robert, the son on Sri Lankan immigrants, was born and raised in Connecticut. He grew up in between different cities, hence he has experienced the New York City life as well as Connecticut’s suburban country-style living, which have inspired his music taste to a great degree.

What makes you different as a person and as an artist?

Stuzii is influenced by his passion for multi-genre music and astronomy, which are topics featured on his upcoming album COSMOS, a collection of 7 timeless songs. Stuzii brings a plethora of EDM production, while showcasing his talents playing the piano, electric and acoustic guitars, bass, percussion, and drums. Through previous positions working in different industries, Stuzii has amassed and honed unique skills that makes him a well-rounded and versatile musician. Aside from music production and songwriting, Stuzii works as a business intelligence consultant for a Fortune 500 company. He also designs Nike basketball sneakers for professional athletes, and also has co-ownership to a photography company which he founded. These traits, along with his genuine desire to create quality, helps to set Stuzii apart from his peers.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

Stuzii is driven by his passion for quality music, and continues to look for opportunities to develop his sound in the industry and collaborate with innovative musicians that he can learn from. With his game-changing creationism and interest for intergalactic exploration, Stuzii's purpose is to be an inspiration for his groundbreaking sonic concepts that impact his listeners. Stuzii does not care about competition, he only cares about creating music, songwriting, and playing with musicians that have inspired him. His goal is producing music around the world and building financial freedom to allow him to write and record music without having to work for a living. To achieve his long term objectives, Stuzii invests his time and energy in creating quality electronic dance music consistently.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Five years from now, Stuzii envisions being a music industry expert that gives back to his community by collaborating and mentoring others on how to be a successful musician and artist. With his entrepreneurial mindset, Stuzii continues developing his range of skills as he tackles the music business as an emerging artist establishing his name in the music industry. Along with placing himself in situations that bring about opportunities, Stuzii wishes to create an environment in his home studio where likeminded individuals can leverage their strengths and create value. He hopes to continue learning as much as possible about  music, as his short-term goal is to continue creating quality music, and long-term goal to be a leader within the music industry.

What do you bring to the music world?

Starting with his singles ‘Sonic Funkedelic’ and ‘Astro Coastin’ as well as his debut EP Daytrip’, Stuzii brings a plethora of EDM production mixed with melodic energy, while showcasing his talents playing the piano, electric and acoustic guitars, bass, percussion, and drums. Just by looking at his musical talent and skill, it comes as no surprise that Stuzii is already popular in the underground music community. Since music has been a constant in Stuzii’s life, his passion has translated into him experimenting with different genres. However, he tends to focus more on producing a cross genre mix of hip-hop and EDM in particular. Most of his music reflect his love for traveling and exploring astronomy, as he often Instagrams pictures of his latest adventures; from exploring mountains and lakes to hiking through rainforests and deserts.

What legacy do you want to leave behind?

The greatest legacies in history are people who dedicated their lives to serving humanity, and Stuzii has grounded his legacy for that greater purpose. He focuses on establishing meaningful goals and leaving behind a legacy that has a positive impact in the memories and lives of others. Leaving behind a positive impact on the world is more fulfilling to Stuzii than money, assets, and other tangible objects. The lasting impact made on the world through his accomplishments and work is how Stuzii wishes to be remembered, which is why his work-ethic is helping to shape the legacy left behind. Stuzii realizes that not everyone can leave such an impression on the world, yet he still strives to exemplify these traits in his personal life, and ensures that his actions have a positive impact on those around him.
