However, despite this track, he only garnered about 12,000 streams on Spotify, which did not bring him the desired success. On the other hand, his new track has been more successful since its release in early March: with almost twice as many streams on Spotify in such a short time, the young artist can at least claim a small success and progress. Thumbs Down is also active in the social media realm. On his Instagram profile, he takes his nearly 9,000 followers along on his travels around the world. Recently, he visited Germany among other places.

At the beginning of the song, there is no grand intro or anything of the sort. Instead, the electronic beat in the background and the fairly fast vocals kick in immediately. After a few seconds, a light pre-drop builds up, leading into an equally light drop. The focus here, as in the entire track, is on the vocals. Unlike the pre-drop, the drop lasts for about 40 seconds, making it relatively long. After that, a short instrumental section follows. At 1:20 minutes, there is a small cut, and the whole sequence repeats itself. Only the short outro at the end differs from the first part.

Conclusion: In my opinion, "Hot" is a truly powerful song for a debut. It definitely showcases the potential that resides within the young DJ, "Thumbs Down". One can definitely look forward to future projects from him with anticipation.
