Reason First: Boosie Badazz Confused And Heated After Atlanta Hawks Skip “Swag Surf” Tradition

The rapper searches for the answers….

Poor Boosie. The man thought it was still the oughts. At the Atlanta Hawks game on December 4, the legendary rapper Swag Surfed his way on national television.

The only thing was, he remained the only one surfing. Everyone else in the stands stood and cheered, applauded and shouted, but no one but Boosie Surfed.

His authentic, well-meaning, and positive dance moves made him stand out amongst thousands and millions at home. His sincerity and dedication to the dance made him a standout.

While some might claim he was doing too much, Boosie holds that the tradition should be in place. He had been left wondering if he had breached some sort of unwritten law at State Farm Arena.

“Swag Surfin,’” made possible by the group F.L.Y. (Fast Life Yungstaz) became a hit in 2009. Among other teams, the Hawks adopted it as a way of expressing energy and support for the home team.

The hit song took on a life of its own for about a decade among other teams like the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) Washington Mystics, and the National Football League (NFL) team the Kansas City Chiefs adopted the dance.

Even Beyoncé and Taylor Swift demonstrated the steps on their respective tours.

But back to Boosie. For a full thirty seconds or more, the Baton Rouge rapper hopped and skipped his way through his rendition of the dance.

He showed no shame in his game as he flailed back and forth to the rhythm of his own music playing in his head.

When he noticed no one else surfing, he felt some kind of way. He noticed not a soul supported him in his efforts by joining into his impromptu dance.

By any standard, it would look like Boosie may have been on something, but in reality he just celebrated and cheered on the Hawks.

The only issue remained that he kept going, unwittingly paying no attention to the crowd around him not participating in the popular dance that doesn’t seem as popular as it once did.

He, nevertheless, kept on surfin’ with cheer and joy. For all the travails that he has experienced, it’s good to see Boosie at a game enjoying himself. Through all the anguish and frustrations he’s witnessed, at least he has the opportunity to dance at a basketball game.

Boosie took to the Internet to try to find meaning in his frustration. He just wondered if it may have been something he did to cause this confusion.

In everything that has occurred from weapons charges, jail stints, and family drama, Boosie definitely should be surfin’ even if he’s the only one performing the dance.

In his own regard, he might even persuade the Hawks to bring back the surf. Why, the wave has been around for decades and that is performed globally. Why can’t Boosie encourage teams of today to embrace or re-embrace the surf?

In the video where he’s dancing, it appears as if he’s inebriated and in the Web show presents him as having a moment of clarity.

This is the distinction between a man who just wanted to have a little fun and then look back and see that the entire act had become viral. He showed himself to be even in the Christmas spirit of lightness and mirth.

To keep going, Boosie needs these moments to remind himself that he is human. And that is not to say he is low and wretched but filled with joy and good cheer, especially around these times.

As he had a party all to himself, Boosie made the world cheer him on and keep him in mind as a soul that is for mankind.
