Pooh Shiesty’s Record Label Clarifies He’s Not In Jail Following Reports Of His Arrest
Pooh Shiesty just finished spending three years behind bars for a firearm charge back in October.

Pooh Shiesty’s release from prison is mired in speculation, confusion, and rumors. Is he out? Is he in? What are the current details? He has become a point of talk because there has been speculation about him snitching in a weapons case. Nevertheless, the rapper has released a song titled “FDO” or “First Day Out.”
This is the problem. Why do so many people wish to talk about release dates of rappers? Is it something that continues to pervade the culture because of genuine interest or because people just are bored and want to be in s––?
Shiesty is a solid rapper who has already made a career for himself. It appears he’s out of prison. People hate that. They want the tea to not drip but pour out onto the floor.

They wish to see the youth, the lifeblood of the genre of hip hop, hemmed up and in trouble. For the thrills, they seek to come away from all this with a sense they’re better than someone locked down or just freed.
With this case, Shiesty’s own record label had to put out a statement saying he’s not incarcerated. This official statement is still not enough for most people. They want to see him grovel and be humbled by the system.
The legal code is what they want to see crush the very spirit of rappers like Shiesty. His way of conveying his message and offering a specific tone to his music is what separates him from others. His own code is what he stands on in this world. While it is apparent that Shiesty has greasy lyrics matched with opulence, he has been a staple in rap circles.
What makes him shine is the melodic flow and the power behind his rhymes. That’s what should be discussed. Instead of yammering back and forth about whether he’s in prison or not, shouldn’t the rap genre be discussing his skills on the mic?
It is a shame that someone with talent should be thought of as a jailbird rather than a singing bird for the streets? Is it a wonder why so many bloggers can’t talk about anything but the incarceration process?
Sheisty is standing on business because he is focused on the money and women that come with the game. Yes, career and romantic relationships still remain the drives behind the rhymes. All the talk about guns and drugs is there to draw in the listener. They are the entryway while the emotion and passion provided by intimate songs allow for catharsis. When Shiesty speaks of the hood life, he is relating to the people who live there and enlightening those who don’t know that life.

For all his specific ways of bringing to life songs that are about death and damaged psyches, he is bringing an entire framework to his lyrics. If he makes his own pattern of creation, that is beautiful. Pooh Shiesty is a reminder that it is possible to rise from your station and become even more powerful than when you started.
The guns and violence and initiation of physical force are not what Shiesty is about. He’s about morals and virtues and wants to display this in his music. He has the ability to blend the harshness with the heady and provocative aspects of his lifestyle. While it would be easy to write him off as just another rapper, he is thinking about Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His name is a standard bearer for the power of his virtuous lines.
So, whether he’s incarcerated or free, Pooh Shiesty should be lauded and applauded for showing he could go from the low lands to the summit.
