My version of Havana by Camila Cabello
Done as a protest song for a šØšŗ Cuba Libre VCL! Peace ā®ļø
This is my cover of the Camilo Cabello song āHavanaā. In my version of the song i make it political and a protest song for a free Cuba and anti regime. I do a rap verse at the beginning of the song. Then I go into the song and it really gets going itās a cha cha and salsa song. The idea I had for the song was a good idea at the time. After I recorded it I wasnāt so sure about it and I also began to have my doubts this happens a lot when I record.
I give time and then recently I heard and it started out kind of destroyed it. I but then it started to sound better to me in the end after listening to my version of I decided it was a really good track after all. Maybe itās me and my need for constant perfection but the song is good for what it is. Itās included in my X-rated rikki la rouge cover song playlist on YouTube. I also put it on my SoundCloud, which is where I put everything else that I ever recorded and there is a lot. SoundCloud is a blessing in disguise is what it is for anybody who makes music.
Let me see what else is there I felt when I did record this cover of Havana by Camila Cabello, which is a pretty cool song like that. I just thought that it would be appropriate to add a protest for a which is very important and thatās really mainly the reason why I did record Add political activism to the song as well. I mean, I felt needed something it was missing and thatās what it was missing so now with my cover there is that.
When I record, I have to be perfect and when I listen to my stuff back, Iām almost my and toughest critic at that because my visions have to be made a reality in order to succeed in whatever it is Iām going to be doing. And if it doesnāt come out perfect, I always Push myself as hard as I can in order to achieve the goals that I had set for myself, even if itās impossible I always somehow with my music that I record do the impossible.
Itās been a while since I recorded anything and quite frankly I so miss recording music and thatās the truth too. However, I do have a treasure trove of really good recordings that I had done through the years that I stand by and they stand by me and Iām proud of the work that I did because many of the did actually do stand the test of time. They say if work stands a and it still sounds good the way you then youāve got something successful on your hands or an industry youāve hit on your hands. And thatās about it as far as that goes.
As I was recording this track, I hoped and prayed that it would come out decently. I really liked also the way the intro to cover that I did where Iām doing a rap lyric to it. It sounds like a nightclub in Cuba BC before Castro. Then it gets going and I guess maybe the beginning of my left me with wonder but then you know as I realize that it has come together and works together for the best results which in the end is what I got. My version of Havana by Camila Cabello is a throwback to classic Latin music. VCL! Viva Cuba libre!
