The J Balvin remix contest of his song Nuestro Momento

My entry

By Rikki La RougePublished 6 months ago 3 min read

Some time ago J Balvin and some liquor 🥃 company held a contest to remix his song Nuestra Momento. I was one of the contestants i remixed a version of the track too. My track is what I consider to be Samba electronica. What you hear with my vocals and his vocal track is call and response. I never found out who wound up winning the competition. I did win as we all did by getting the chance to at least have it heard and also just to remix a track and say that I have a version of it myself.

With my version I did this remix thinking of stuff like Carnival in Brazil 🇧🇷 and in the Caribbean. those hot chicks who are dressed as those showgirls and show boys dancing to this track. I am not bragging on myself I am just telling my process and how the music and songs that I did got to be to where they are. I like to listen to

My version is danceable and if I had a radio station, I would most definitely play this on my station at least to get people to hear it. You know that’s the power of having your own radio station which I did at one time I had my own radio show pirate radio show rather from downstairs. One of my dreams was always to have a radio show of my which I did so dreams do come true. Anyway, back to the version of my they do complement his vocals as I said, a new take on stuff you know the way I saw this song. I thought that it’d be cool like I said to record a electronic which I did so it’s in the books.

I have a whole vault of stuff that I recorded. know about what my recording equipment start off as two radios couple cassettes one radio would play the and I would sing it into the other radio as it recorded it and it actually came good. I think that it’s cool when artists have contests for those musically like myself and others where we can remix their song in hopes of whatever the prize is, they’re offering if . If not like many of times if I like this song and I really it I just do it submit it and I have a version of my own of that song due to the contest I was in. And it all works out really really well.

I wish that I could remember what the name of the liquor was that was sponsoring the contest in association with J Balvin. No, it’s not about that. It just happens to was the liquor brand that was working with J Balvin and his camp when they did this contest. Another friend of cyber of mine in Miami And his band had also participated in the contest as well. All of the entries we were supposed to upload them to SoundCloud and that’s That’s how you would submit the lyrics and the song which I did. And now my version, my cover version the song is in my X-rated playlist cover songs That’s a nice jewel to add to my already glistening treasure box of cover songs that I did that actually came out sounding better than I ever expected. My friend and his band version was more like a rock type track noise . So many genres could participate and add their own flavors to noise . Now that I have some stability in the music I don’t need to participate in Contest anymore of that nature I’ve graduated past that level I’m happy to say. However, I loved that level one. I was trying to make it somewhere in the music business where and I would enter a bunch of contests with my tracks.
