My Childhood Celebrity Crush

We can all remember that we have had a number of celebrity crushes in our lifetime. We can face it that some of them we have completely forgot as time has passed us by growing up in life’s movements. Like who was the very first one that we ever had? Can some of us even remember? At first I couldn’t. I had various different favorite musical artists while I was growing up that I would idolize. Some of them being The Hanson Brothers, Green Day, Amy Grant, Hilary Duff, Switch foot, Eminem, Reliant K, and so many more I would play on the radio growing up. If I had their CD or CD containing their music I would play it on replay singing along.

When I was asked who mine was, I really brain stormed this one so that I could remember the name and how to spell it. Looking it up online so I could remember, looking through faces and pictures of people, thinking, this is not the guy I had a celebrity crush on when I was younger. Who the heck are these people anyways? I had no idea, and than I remembered.

My celebrity crush growing up on Grand Street In Minneapolis Minnesota was Aaron Carter the bi-sexual artist from the popularily known from the Backstreet Boys. My favorite song from him having had been “I Want Candy” from his album Love. Which also happens if being one of the most commonly used random phrases I use today even when I don’t particularly want candy.

Growing up I would see pictures of him in magazines, on Television, and listen to his music thinking, oh my gosh he is the cutest, funniest, and I loved his music. I had a lot of different types of music that I would listen to while I was growing up, but he was definitely the one I obsessed over as a “Celebrity Crush”. Before being asked who my favorite celebrity crush was when I was young, I promise I completely forgot they even existed because it had been such a long time since I had listened to their music, or seen them in TV shows. I have had a couple since then from various Television series, but then again who hasn’t? I currently do not have any now other than a popular DJ named Diplo. I’ve had a thing for since I discovered the artist that was behind some of my favorite EDM music years ago, and UFC fighter Gregory James even though I consider them more of how I have been crushed, than a “crush” of the past.

Surprisingly enough I have met five, if not more, people with the same birthday December 7, as famed in the late 1990s’ when I was growing up pop singer, rapper, artist, actor, dancer, and record producer Aaron Carter. He became active in the year I was born 1995 sometime before or after my birthday July 7th twenty five years ago. He is still active today as an artist, but I would no longer consider him my celebrity crush. Still took a walk in the past, and now I will always remember why when I say “I want candy” it has a familiar ring to it from a song that I favorited in my childhood years growing up. It is still to this day one of my favorite songs even though I no longer have a celebrity crush.

Who was your first celebrity crush? If someone asked you could you remember or would you brainstorm like I did. Wether they were from a band, TV series, artist, poet, public figure or movie think about it! It would be interesting finding out what is going on in the lives of our past celebrity crushes today, if they are even still alive or active!
