Whether I'm having a good day or a bad day, there is always a playlist or song to fit my mood. Good music has saved my life, and made me feel connected to the world around me. It's the universal language, and I don't know where I'd be without it. The emotion behind finding a song that perfectly describes how you're feeling, sometimes even better than you yourself could have even put into words. Or finding a beat or melody that captures memories or a moment in your life you thought you could never get back. That, for me, is the magic behind music.
Throughout this life I've spent hundreds of hours just browsing and downloading new music. In college I was a DJ, but from the origination of the MP3's existence, I was always the one in my group of friends making mixed CD's for everyone, and making sure our car ride adventures had the proper tunes. I love being able to share the music I find. And I loved
that they could enjoy my curations every weekend. The playlists were made with love and specific care to everyone's taste. Still to this day, I find it's one of the best gifts I can give to those in my life, and one that tends to mean more than anything I could go out and buy them.
For this Zen-like playlist I wanted to selected some jams that you can feel free to unwind to. Songs of which you can come home after a long day at work and just relax to. I hope you enjoy and find at least one song that you absolutely love. Here is a playlist link and a list of the tracks.
Bingbongbeats - I Had A Dream Of Our Old House

From a mostly unknown producer online, I found this song and was swooning. It sounds like you're floating up in the clouds.
Clean Bandit - Rather Be (Feat. Jess Glynne) (Affelaye Remix)

One of my favorite songs of all time. This remix does absolute justice to the original track. It reminds me of being with the love of my life and being carefree.
Seoul - Stay With Us

Absolutely beautiful track. From the melody, to the guitar riff. It paints a picture of youth and friendship.
Damu The Fudgemunk - Time Leak (REDEF RMX)

One of the more bumping beats on this playlist. Nevertheless, it's a great tune to relax to. Perfect for a jump-cut or skateboard video in my mind.
ATB - Sunset Beach (Feat. Anova) (Original Mix)

If you love trance, this song is heaven. After the beat builds up, you're left with an array of sounds that seem to take flight in your mind. Days gone by, days to come.
Vanilla - Blue Sun

Icing on a cake. This song is one of the most tranquil beats in my library. Perfect for an hour of doing yoga or just lounging around the house in your PJs.
Frou Frou - Breathe In (Watkins Mix)

This is one of those songs most people haven't heard of that I love sharing, because it often becomes a favorite. It's a dreamy one, and gives me all the hope and happiness I can muster when I hear it.
Submotion Orchestra - All Yours (Freddie Joachim Remix Deux)

A very laid back tune. Cruising down the freeway in the morning, or doing the dishes in the afternoon, this song puts your mind at ease.
Ólafur Arnalds - Loom

A more recent track I found; I like the calming simplicity of it. Made for an indie movie soundtrack.
Henry Green - Electric Feel (Gespleu Downcast Edit) (MGMT Cover)

This cover is beyond beautiful. It sounds celestial, and reminds me of youthful times with my friends. It manages to paint an image of love and everything that goes along with growing up.
Chris Malinchak - So Good To Me

An uplifting soulful jam. This is a great song to throw on when you want all the good feels coming your way.
Télépopmusik - Breathe

This last song I heard a long time ago playing on the speakers inside a store. I wrote down the lyrics and looked it up when I got home. A classic of dreamy halcyon days.
