Memory Bound

A Song for a Friend

memory bound

the sound of sickness

losing my cold ground

to dirty imperfection

and I’d like to taste it

so I knew it was poison

drown in the last sip

of the puddle where I live

well I’ll take my chances

on nowhere advances

light up the cold hearted scenery

those rolling hills,

never did mean that much to me

baby, I’ll ride like the wind now

away from this hollow

that I’ll never call home

well I gave you bad luck

tortured your eyes for the chance at

inspiring moonlight

the corrective nature

you suffered yourself away

I’ll leave this background

light up the fog in this

bleak town

tripping on moisture

the day disappeared me and kneaded me back to clay

memory bound

the sound of a circle

set to the scared clock

of my flailing arms

and I’d like to taste it

so I knew it was fevered

swollen and salted

like the sting of a wound

well I’ll take my chances

with nowhere advances

light up the cold hearted scenery

those rolling hills,

never did mean that much to me

baby, I’ll ride like the wind now

away from this hollow

that I’ll never call home

away from this hollow

that I’ll never call home
