With so many celebrities leaving us recently I thought it would be nice to look at songs that sing about Heaven. As we listen we can remember our loved ones also who wait for us on the other site.

"Knockin' on Heaven's Door" is a song by American singer and songwriter Bob Dylan .  It was written for the soundtrack of the 1973 film “Pat Garret and Billy the Kid”. The song once released became a worldwide hit and one of the most popular songs by Dylan. The song is ranked at number 190 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

"Tears in Heaven" is a song by the English guitarist, singer, and songwriter Eric Clapton and the American songwriter Will Jennings. The song is featured on the 1991 soundtrack for the film “Rush”. It was written about the death of Clapton’s 4 year old son Conor. In January 1992, Clapton performed the song in front of an audience at Bray Studios in Berkshire, England for MTV Unplugged with the recording appearing on Clapton’s album Unplugged.The song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It won three Grammy Awards – Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year.

"Streets of Heaven" is a song by Australian country music singer Sherrie Austin. The song was written by Austin, Paul Duncan, and Al Kasha. It is the lead single to her album of the same name. The song charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

"Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven" is a country  song co-written by American songwriters Jim Collins and Marty Dodson. The song was recorded by American country singer Kenny Chesney and became his 15th number one hit. It is the first single from his album Lucky Old Sun.

"Stairway to Heaven" is a song by the English rock band Led Zeppelin. It is featured on their 1971 untitled album (commonly known as Led Zeppelin IV).The song was composed by the band's guitarist Jimmy Page with lyrics written by lead singer Robert Plant, it is widely regarded as one of the greatest rock songs of all time. The song is described as progressive rock, folk rock, and hard rock.

“Heaven Can Wait” is a song recorded by American singer and songwriter Meat Loaf. Collaborating with songwriter Jim Steinman he came out with this ballad. It is featured on his album Bat Out of Hell.

"I'll See You Again" is a song by Westlife, featured on their album "Westlife" released in 1999. The song was written by David Foster and Linda Thompson. The lyrics express themes of love, longing, and hope for reunion. The lead singer for the Irish band Westlife has discussed the importance of his Christian faith on several occasions. This song speaks to the hope that he will see his loved ones again, as well as a sense of their continued presence in his life.

"Angels" is a song by the English singer Robbie Williams. It is featured on his album Life Thru a Lens. The song charted on the UK Singles chart and the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song won the 1999 Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.

And I finish was one of the most beautiful heartwarming and touching songs about everything finally working out once we get to paradise.

“Somewhere in Paradise” was recorded by Spanish female vocal duo Baccara. The duo consisted of Mayte Mateos and Marla Mendiola.  "Somewhere in Paradise" (with its allusions to life after death) is regularly played by Christian radio stations.
