Lot Long: From Indiana Cornfields to Rock Resurrection
A decades-long dream reborn in blazing rock and timeless friendship.

Lot Long: From Indiana Cornfields to Rock Resurrection
In the summer of 1988, the cornfields of rural Indiana echoed with the sound of teenage ambition. Two high-school dreamers, guitarist Warren Bullock and vocalist Michael R. Crider, were riding high on their local music scene with their band Vice Versa.
Between late-night jams and talk of rock stardom, they hatched what they called their evil plan: to record an album entirely on their own — every guitar lick, every drum hit, every vocal line.
They started writing songs that very summer, buzzing with energy and promise. But then, life happened. Time moved faster than their dreams. Jobs, families, responsibilities — the usual suspects of adulthood — pushed the project into the shadows. What was meant to be a quick collaboration became a very long pause.
Fast forward thirty-six years ...
In 2024, those same kids — now in their fifties — dusted off their guitars, plugged in the amps, and picked up right where they left off. Out of that rekindled spark came Lot Long, and their debut album’s title couldn’t be more fitting: Long Time Comin’.
A Spark Reignited
Recording began in August 2024 with their first single, “Cry Baby.” The track captures everything that made them fall in love with music in the first place — raw guitars, soaring vocals, and the kind of chorus that stays stuck in your head long after the song ends. It’s classic rock energy with modern muscle.
From there, Bullock and Crider kept pushing, track after track, rediscovering not only their sound but the friendship that started it all. Nearly a year later, the album was complete. Their second single, “Rain,” adds a melodic punch and emotional honesty that perfectly complements the grit of Cry Baby.

The Sound of Lot Long
Lot Long describes their music as a “full-bodied, immersive audio experience for fans of face-melting rock ’n’ roll.” And they’re not exaggerating.
The record is a love letter to the bands that shaped them — from Van Halen’s swagger to The Beatles’ harmonies. The album hits hard with big melodic vocals, fiery guitar solos, and the kind of rhythm section that demands to be felt as much as heard.
What makes Long Time Comin’ stand out is its variety. Bullock and Crider trade off lead vocals throughout, giving each song a unique tone and texture. One moment it’s thunderous rock; the next, it’s introspective and melodic. The combination makes for a listening experience that’s as dynamic as it is nostalgic.
This isn’t a retro revival — it’s the sound of two lifelong musicians picking up where they left off, but with decades of experience behind every note.
Why It Matters
There’s something deeply satisfying about a story like this. Two friends make a promise as kids, lose track of it, and somehow — against the odds — find their way back to it. In an era where everything feels rushed and disposable, Lot Long proves that creativity doesn’t expire. Sometimes, it just waits for the right time.
Their debut album Long Time Comin’ is more than a project; it’s a testament to patience, passion, and the enduring power of rock ’n’ roll. From the first riff to the final chord, you can hear the joy of musicians who are playing for the love of it.
The Wait Is Over
For Bullock and Crider, this album is the realization of a dream that never died — just hibernated. The name says it all: Long Time Comin’.
And now that it’s here, it’s proof that true rock never fades. It just gets louder.
