There is a kind of awareness that only seems to surface after dark. The pace slows, distractions thin out and contradictions stop demanding immediate answers.

For ИΞOlicious, that nighttime clarity isn’t accidental. It’s the foundation of their creative world. Their debut single, “Entropic Cycle,” arrives as a meditation on disorder, balance and the strange comfort that can be found when you stop resisting the mess.

Born Neo Darbinyan Norton in Glendale, California, ИΞOlicious’ relationship with music began long before they ever thought about releasing songs.

As a child, Neo became deeply absorbed in video game soundtracks, particularly Nintendo’s Splatoon, along with Kirby and Zelda. These scores were immersive environments. That early exposure shaped an instinct for music as a space to exist in - something atmospheric, emotional and narrative-driven.

As a teenager, Neo briefly considered a future in chemistry as he was drawn to systems, reactions and structure. But the reality of lab work and calculations felt limiting compared to the boundless emotional logic of sound.

A turning point came through repeated listens to Manizha’s “ИЗУМРУД,” a track whose dense production, esoteric themes and cultural expression sparked a realization that music could carry philosophy, identity and feeling all at once.

Soon after, Neo began producing music independently, guided by intuition rather than formal rules.

That intuition is central to “Entropic Cycle.” The track began late one night after a violin lesson, when Neo stacked and panned three separate violin recordings to create a swelling harmonic base.

What started as an experiment quickly became an all-night session, with the song’s structure forming as dawn approached. The following day, vocals were added - weary, honest and woven into the production rather than placed on top of it.

With the musical arrangement, “Entropic Cycle” moves like a restless organism. Psychedelic choruses bloom with optimism before giving way to emotionally exposed verses. Subtle details, including the distant hum of an airplane, introduce a sense of motion and transition as if the song is always on the verge of departure. It’s danceable, but not clean. Immersive, but not overwhelming. Each element serves the track’s central idea rather than competing for attention.

That idea is simple, but expansive: everything matters. Drawing from the concept of entropy whereby the random dispersion of matter through space and time, the song reframes chaos as a necessary phase rather than a failure. Even on a planet with more night than day, daylight still exists. The cycle continues.

This philosophy extends into LΞT IT BΞ ИIGHT, ИΞOlicious’ upcoming debut album, which has been fully self-produced over two years.

The project dives into themes of disorientation, inner dialogue and the human tendency to search for meaning in uncertainty. While experimental in sound, the album remains grounded in emotional honesty, offering listeners a place to reflect rather than a message to decode.

Despite being early in their career, ИΞOlicious approaches their work with true long-term vision. Entire albums, visual aesthetics and narrative arcs are already mapped out mentally, allowing for both structure and flexibility. Creativity isn’t the limiting factor — time is. And his patience shows.

With “Entropic Cycle,” ИΞOlicious isn’t chasing resolution or clarity. They are offering the permission to exist inside the noise. The cycle has begun. And it’s only getting darker, deeper and more luminous from here.
