Lou Christie was a talented singer who came into this world as Lugee Alfred Giovanni Sacco on February 19, 1943. He became a talented singer and when he was just fifteen he befriended American songwriter Twyla Herbert who became his main songwriting partner until 2009. Lou Christie passed away on Jume 17, 2025. Here are some of the top songs he recorded.

"Lightning Strikes" is a song that was written by American singer Lou Christie and Twyla Herbert. Recorded by Christie in 1966 the song went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was certified Gold by the RIAA. The song becme Christie's signature song. It was the only number-one single to Lou Christie’s credit.

"I'm Going to Make You Mine" is a song that was recorded in 1969 by Lou Christie and is featured on his 1969 album by the same name. The song was written by American songwriter Tony Romeo. It was first recorded by the American band The Camel Drivers in 1968. Lou Christie recorded his version with backing vocals by Ellie Greenwich and Linda Scott. The song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles charts. Billboard Magazine ranked it at number 60 on their list of Top Hot 100 Songs of 1969.

"Two Faces Have I" is a song with Lou Christie's signature falsetto vocals. The song was written by Lou Christie and Twyla Herbert. It is featured on Christie's 1963 album Lou Christie. The song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B charts. Billboard ranked it among the Top Records of 1963. "Beyond the Blue Horizon" is a 1930 song that was first performed by the American soprano and actress Jeanette MacDonald in the film "Monte Carlo". It became MacDonald's signature song and she also performed it in the 1944 film "Follow the Boys". Lou Christie recorded a version of this song and his version was featured in the 1988 film "Rain Man" and the 1991 film "Dutch". Christie released the single of the song in 1973 and it charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles charts.

"Stay" is a song that was originally recorded in 1960 by Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs. Christie covered the song in 1964.

"Since I Don’t Have You" is a 1958 doo-wop classic originally recorded by The Skyliners. Lou Christie recorded the song as a ballad. The song was written by Jackie Taylor, James Beaumont, Janet Vogel, Joseph Rock, Joe Verscharen, Lennie Martin, and Wally Lester.

"Summer Days" is a song written by the American songwriter Tony Romeo. It became a hit for The Partridge Family and was featured on their 1971 album Sound Magazine.David Cassidy recorded a solo version of "Summer Days" on his 1973 LP Dreams Are Nuthin' More Than Wishes. Lou Christie recorded his version in 1975 and it charted on the Record World and Cash Box charts.

"A Teenager in Love" is a song the was originally recorded in 1959 by the American band Dion and The Belmonts. Lou Christie covered the song and made it an easy-listening favorite.
