Rooted in Ijexá, an Afro-Brazilian rhythm traditionally performed in 4/4 but here reimagined in a rare 3/4 time signature, “Sea Shack” balances cultural respect with fearless exploration. The odd meter, far from disorienting, gives the track a distinctive bounce and forward momentum. This rhythmic core is complemented by funk-inflected hits and a wah-drenched guitar solo that evokes the influence of Fela Kuti and Brazilian funk masters alike.
