We had a chance to talk with America rapper MC David J From Atlanta, GA. If you aren't familiar with MC David J read more below;

1. Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

- I LOVE Hip Hop. To be a rapper is to be the cream of the crop. You mean to tell me in this day in age being a young African American and free I can say whatever I want on the microphone and get away with it? I'm exercising my freedom of speech to the absolute max! I was stolen from my homeland. I don't know my native earth. By nature, I have come to dominate English which is not supposed to be my language by nature. And to bend and break this language in every way possible through Hip Hop is beautiful to me.

2. Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started this career?

- I won't waste time giving some sad story or coming from the bottom BS. You've heard it time and time again. I'm here to take over everything. People forgot about TRUE Hip Hop. I was born an MC. Scammed countless times along the way. My story is every man's story. I am making my story now to make history. You are witnessing a legend in the making. This IS the story.

3. Can you share a story about the funniest mistake you made when you were first starting? Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that?

- Back in my middle school and high school days I was in love with the concept of making albums. I would record songs in my bedroom and rip the playlist to a blank CD. Then I would write my name and album title on the disc, package it in a jewel case, print off black & white copies of the album cover (because I stole all the color print in my dad's printer) and distributed all of about 300 copies of the album throughout my school like a boss. The way I made the money to buy all the cases and extra printing was by mowing lawns throughout my neighborhood. I was always on the grind. Alot of kids loved it. Some did not care. Some would leave the album ripped apart and thrown on the ground next to a garbage can. I would just walk by pick it up and redistribute it. Built my character.

4. What are some of the most interesting or exciting projects you are working on now?

-I have an album titled GO MAD that will be available on all streaming platforms on March 5th, 2021. This will be everything.

5. Who are some of the most interesting people you have interacted with? What was that like? Do you have any stories?

-God. She is not a person though.

6. Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

-Stay original. Stay creative. Never bend to please ANYONE else but yourself musically and sonically. If it is meant to be it is meant to be. People will gravitate to what they like. You cannot force anything on anyone. Simple.

7. You have been blessed with success in a career path that can be challenging. Do you have any words of advice for others who may want to embark on this career path, but seem daunted by the prospect of failure?

-Remain true to yourself. Establish goals ahead of time and achieve them. Write out your goals if necessary.

8. Can you share with our readers any self-care routines, practices or treatments that you do to help your body, mind or heart to thrive? Kindly share a story or an example for each.

- DO NOT SIT STILL. I work out every day if not at least every other day. Your body needs to move. Drink water. You were meant to be active. Nothing holds you back but you. Once you control your physical body everything else comes naturally.

9. What are your "5 things I wish someone told me when I first started" and why. Please share a story or example for each.

- People will lie to you. Know where and when to spend your money. Never let the money get out of control. Countless stories on spending money in the wrong places and biting myself for it later. One time spent $5k in hopes to achieve something next level but did not get the return expected. Score everything in writing. Have a backup plan. Shoot for the stars but keep safe always.

10. Can you please give us your favourite "Life Lesson Quote"? Can you share how that was relevant to you in your life?

-"Be yourself" straight up. They love you, they love you. They hate you, fuck em.

11. None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story about that?

-My grandfather. He is a guitarist and one of the best I know. He can learn any song after first listen. He gives me the drive to be better than him. He is a musician by nature and it's in my blood to achieve music genius like him.

12. You are a person of enormous influence. If you could start a movement that would bring the most amount of good to the most amount of people, what would that be? You never know what your idea can trigger. :-)

-I have a movement called CoCalm. I have an app behind it that is available on both Apple and Android stores. This app showcases various types of talent including artists, models, photographers, and other entrepreneurs. The app can be found at links below.
