Davido remains heartbroken, inconsolable, days after his son’s death

DAVIDO'S three-year-old son has tragically drowned in a pool at their home as cops question the Nigerian star's staff over the boy's death.
According to reports, young Ifeanyi Adeleke passed away on Monday at Davido's home in Banana Island, Lagos. The child was tragically declared dead after being brought to the hospital after being retrieved from the water, which is understandable. At the time, Davido, 29, and his fiancee Chioma Rowland were apparently away, although there were other staff members present at the home. In connection with the child's death, eight employees have already been taken in for interrogation, according to the Lagos State Police Command. Domestic servants at Davido's home have been escorted to the station to provide their own accounts of what transpired, a police spokesperson informed the Daily Post. "Anyone who is discovered to be responsible, after they have all given their own accounts of what happened and preliminary investigations, will immediately be placed under arrest." On October 20, a few days after turning three, Ifeanyi passed away. I wish with all my heart that God brings you great health and pure pleasure for as long as humanly possible, Davido wrote in a lovely message that included two images of Ifeanyi. "You will become even greater than I am. Enjoy your birthday, son. Chioma said something of her own: "Happy birthday to the person I love the most. God bless you always in my honor, my mother loves you so much." According to a family source who spoke to the local media, the three-year-old spent a considerable amount of time submerged in water. "The youngster was in the water for too long, so they hauled him out and took him to the hospital," they claimed. It was already too late when they brought him to Lagoon Hospital. Davido, who has more than 25 million Instagram followers, was recently seen teaching his son how to swim in a video. In additional video, the couple can be seen dancing together in the pool while background music is playing. It's unclear if this is the same pool where Ifeanyi passed away. Davido and his partner have not commented on his passing. Many famous people have paid tribute to the toddler, including Iyabo Ojo, Ay Comedian, William Uchemba, and Paul Okoye. "The death of a child is unnatural, unfair, and heartbreaking, this affected me so terribly," Ayo Makun wrote on Instagram. "Father, heal your children's heart from this suffering, strengthen them in such a dark and cruel period, oh Lord," prayed comedian Lasisi Elenu. Davido's Instagram pages are still swamped with tributes to his late son to this day. On his social media pages, the artist has heartbreaking pictures of him playing for and loving on the late Ifeanyi. Particularly, the footage of Davido carrying Ifeanyi in the pool a few days before his passing still makes people feel sorrowful and lost. Chioma, for her part, has remained silent ever since the tragic tragedy. However, it is believed that Ifeanyi's passing will only serve to enhance the bond that Davido and his fiancée have. In fact, a few days ago, the singer's order for a G-Wagon for Chioma to comfort her caused the internet to buzz. He also vowed to accompany her on their wedding day the following year. In honor of his late son, Davido recently revealed that his planned "Are We African Yet" (A.W.A.Y.) festival, scheduled to take place at the State Farm Arena, Georgia, Atlanta, United States on November 18, will be postponed.
Top Nigerian acts like Kizz Daniel, Wande Coal, Lojay, Pheelz, Oxlade, BNXN (also known as Buju), Focalistc, and Victony were planned to perform at the festival.
