Capturing the Wind
We Made Another Playlist!
Now let me address the title, for of course we cannot catch the wind. (Nor can we find its name, though we can try.) However, the attempt was made, and it was made with the utmost care and energy. So, for all intents and purposes, we captured the wind. And I find the result mesmerizing.
In my latest endeavor to discover new music from you lovely Vocalites, I requested that you find a song or few that made you think of a summer breeze, a stormy gust, or perhaps, the perfect stillness of the air. And you delivered! From experimental selections from the seventies to instrumental low-fi and classical pieces to much more modern pop songs, our playlist is as eclectic as the subject matter.
Before the big reveal, I admit I had this one up for quite a bit of time. Nearly a month, in fact. I did not intend for this! September has simply flown by. I'm glad I waited, though, because I got five more songs out of it!
If you're wanting (yes, you, reader!), I invite you to comment with more suggestions whenever you want. Comment here, or on the original post.
I hope you enjoy! I'm of the extremely biased opinion that the end result sounds marvelous!
So without further ado...
The Playlist!
I did my best to arrange the songs for the best flow, but by all means, press Shuffle and be surprised! As promised, I have included a YouTube and Spotify version to cover my bases for anyone who wants to listen.
Big thank you to everyone who participated! I learned so many new artists and songs, which is its own reward. I hope you all enjoy this eclectic mix of songs too!
Enjoy! And cheers! I hope you stick around for the next one.

A/N: Right now, I have two ideas for our third community playlist. Would you let me know which one sounds more fun to you? I hope to post the third prompt in roughly a week.
The first playlist idea is themed around nostalgic songs from childhood. This would be anything that gives you memories from being a kid, whether it be from a movie or show, something that your parents introduced you to, or a song that played at a party or event, whatever.
The second is songs that we all deem the "most beautiful." My choices are between two classical songs, but I don't mind which genre you choose, as long as it's what you consider the "most beautiful" song. Ideally, everyone would have only one song in mind, one that can't be matched. I know that sounds ridiculous and impossible, but I feel that the use of the superlative "most" prevents there being ties. 🫣
Let me know which one you like the sound of most!

I appreciate the quality and diversity of the playlist! To single out some of my favorites (outside of my own entries): Beyond Solaces by Didacte & Holloway Can't Catch Me Now by Olivia Rodrigo Sails by Pat Barrett, Steffany Gretzinger & Amanda Cook Storm Warning - Latyrx My Church - Maren Morris
Music continues to not really be my thing, but this is a fun series to keep my eye on as it goes along! I just might have to try listening to a few of these after work today :)
I was thinking quite a lot of simon and Garfunkel too, but culdnt put my finger on why!
Awesome!!! I did recognize a few tracks on the playlist. And nice to see Nine Inch Nails (NIN) made the cut. As for a third list, I literally can't decide which of the two would be the most exciting. You may have to do both, lol. But, If I had to choose which one I would rather listen to first, it would be the 'Most Beautiful' I'm interested in seeing what songs would make both lists but do believe that discovering 'beauty' is what art is all about. Best of luck in deciding!
