After undertaking the self-imposed challenge of engaging in daily pre-work exercise for an entire week, I gained valuable insights. Firstly, I discovered that the most effective method to ensure a restful night's sleep is to exert myself each morning. Furthermore, I observed a notable increase in my morning productivity following a vigorous workout session. Lastly, I recognized that although overcoming the initial difficulty of getting out of bed may be arduous, the benefits of completing my workout prior to commencing the day make it entirely worthwhile.

Nonetheless, my week-long fitness endeavor was not exempt from errors, thus prompting me to rectify these missteps as I persist with my fitness journey. These errors encompass both acts of omission and aspects that I would approach differently in subsequent attempts.

I acquired this insightful tip during my middle school years. However, at the onset of the pandemic in 2020, like many others, I found myself confined within the walls of my house, seldom venturing outside. Consequently, I regrettably discontinued the practice of selecting my attire the previous night. With my job still offering the flexibility of working from home, I gradually fell into the habit of donning loungewear throughout the day, thereby neglecting the task of assembling fashionable ensembles.

Nevertheless, during the course of this exercise challenge, I began arising approximately 90 minutes earlier than my usual routine, which made it considerably more convenient to choose an outfit the night before. By doing so, I could simply roll out of bed the following day, slip into my clothes, and proceed with my day's tasks.

However, on one occasion, my fatigue from an unusually long day prevented me from taking the time to arrange my clothes for the upcoming day. I rationalized that I could simply choose my attire the next morning.

Unfortunately, this decision proved to be time-consuming, causing me to depart at least 15 minutes later than intended. Consequently, I found myself hurriedly returning to my apartment after my exercise session, which resulted in heightened stress prior to commencing my work duties.

In general, I am not particularly inclined towards breakfast, but I have noticed that after engaging in physical activity, I often find myself feeling extremely hungry or occasionally experiencing slight dizziness.

As per the Mayo Clinic, consuming a nutritious breakfast rich in carbohydrates prior to exercising can potentially enhance workout performance by enabling you to engage in longer and more intense workout sessions.

If I had consumed a nutritious breakfast such as a breakfast bar or a protein shake, it is possible that I would have experienced higher energy levels prior to my workout, thereby minimizing the fatigue that I encountered afterwards.

However, due to the absence of a proper meal, I found myself in a rush to the nearest coffee establishment in order to hastily procure an egg sandwich.

I typically avoid gym locker rooms, but I was pleasantly surprised by the shower facilities at Rumble Boxing, an exercise class I attended during the week. Despite having visited this location previously, I had never needed to utilize the locker room, thus I had not yet experienced the showers.

Consequently, when I decided to explore the facilities prior to my 8 a.m. class, I was delighted to discover that the showers were immaculate, stocked with high-quality products, and sparsely occupied. Instantly, I regretted not bringing flip-flops and a change of clothes, as I could have conveniently showered there. Given the perspiration accumulated during the boxing/mixed cardio class, it would have been preferable to directly hop into the shower and start my day feeling refreshed.

Instead, I returned to my apartment and had to wait for a convenient moment in my morning routine to finally take a shower, resulting in a notable period of discomfort during the early hours.

On the final day of the challenge, I found it extremely difficult to motivate myself to get out of bed. The reason for this was because it was the first morning after a late night of socializing that kept me out until nearly midnight.

I couldn't help but feel disappointed in myself for not adhering to my intended running schedule. Instead, I opted for a leisurely walk. However, upon reflecting on the situation, I came to the realization that it is unfair to expect perfection in my workouts every single morning. Achieving and maintaining good health requires a sense of balance, and dedicating time to spend with friends and engage in enjoyable activities is an integral part of leading a fulfilling life.

The purchasing of more affordable breakfast bars instead of costly sandwiches at cafes, pre-selecting my outfits in advance, and preparing a change of clothes and flip-flops to utilize the gym showers were all actions that I should have taken to streamline my morning regimen. Furthermore, I have come to realize the importance of being gentle with myself instead of constantly driving myself too hard.

Nevertheless, in spite of these errors, I discovered that engaging in morning exercise was truly beneficial due to the various advantages it offers for both my physical health and productivity levels throughout the week.

Moving forward, I intend to allocate a greater amount of time during the evening in order to simplify my mornings and make them more manageable.
