A Techno Heart At Last

Great is the sound of poems becoming lyrics and greater is the sound of beat - you can actually feel the music. How can one not absolutely love that.

Ever go to a Rave or familiar with Gabber Culture? Non stop dance beat music. I've never been much into dancing however I love a good motion leading to a crescending and repetitive tempo. How perfect is that to also present a new concept in meditation music. Yes, a form of, a t y p e of, meditation.

The idea is to approach a meditative state of mind that comes from the transparency of music raw, unadultered, and simplified - by repetition. Invoke a spiritual concept through very basic lyrics and the sound performance of repetition and there you have it, my fait accompli. Just to add to that, the musical genre in techno called "Trance Music," where lyrics are used.

Techno music as mediation music...how you say? The concept is to approach the mental capacity through a different construct. Peace is obtained within and there are people who you may often hear say that they are not suited for meditation. But they will miss the important spiritual part is my point. Usually met with a blank stare I hope that this music will turn that to a smile.

So, for all you hypes out there you can not only learn some spiritual concepts but get into them in a whole different way and leave with a meditative stance if anything. Artists out there who like to work to music - try it while listening to this to see if there is difference in your work. I am not a hype at all but I must say I love this. If you just like to dance, this too is for you.

The creative part of me also wanted to blend some cultural aspects through the lyrics so with each of these songs I give a brief description of that through the use of language blended through.

The 1st EP - Peace Vibes 1

The cover art I designed myself because I am primarily a Visual Artist, Painter and I also love digital art.

The person sitting in meditation is wearing an old style scuba suit. Thematically to protect oneself from the energy flows (similar to flows of water). This would be something a more experienced spiritualist would be aware of while meditating but since that is the Dive, that is the depiction I chose. The apple represents the material world carefully placed outside ourselves where we can not be concerned about it, which is one point of meditation. It also culminates the meaning of temptation, another aspect of the same point of non-materialism. Some people regard it as a space suit and if you prefer that interpretation matching Techno Trance music as futuristic that is great. There are however no aliens in this ;)

There are three songs to each EP. Each EP is designed to represent an understanding of a stage of meditation by the lyrics, simplified.

TURN IT UP TO LISTEN TO. I AM A FIRM BELIEVER THAT TECHNO SHOULD BE HEARD LOUD.

The first one is called Peace Dreams. The lyrics start with:"Lift your voice into the light...peace, peace, peace. I'm light, I'm light, ohm, ohm, ohm..."

The 2nd Song is called Omnia. The lyrics are in both English and Latin to frame the understanding of the logical nature of sound, mind and contemplation, which is another type of meditation. I thought Latin was suitable because it is an ancient language matching the concept I am introducing. Lyrics: "Love...love is everywhere, is "ALL,"....love conquers all...love begets love...where there is love there is no darkness, meaning love is light."

These are spiritual basics getting to the point that love is at the heart of a universal perspective.

The 3rd Song is Latin Root Contemplation, the idea takes a a step forward. This song depicts the transformative power of Peace and ability to save the world with it, and includes the Reiki Principles which has to do with healing, it's a start. Peace, Heal, Save, is the message:

In one EP the spiritual derivatives of Peace, Love, Light, Love, Heal, and Save the World are covered, using repetitive lyrics that highlight those and also include introduction of Mantra, Affirmation, Proverbs and Principles, all absorbed through beat and dance, and the now dear to my heart Trance Music - that is a wave.

I have six albums out currently (two are Christmas) in a mix of genres and that include a few songs in Techno and Trance. The rest are Pop, Rock, R&B plus a couple Country songs.
