Tiwa Savage aka Number One African Bad Girl is one of the greatest musical exports out of Nigeria. Tiwa Savage is a heavyweight singer, songwriter, and performer and has given us a slew of hit songs throughout her long-running spectacular career.

Now while a lot of artistes don't like to reach out to songwriters, Tiwa Savage is one artiste who has been known to champion songwriters. She of course writes a lot of her own songs, but from time to time, Tiwa has been known to source the talent of other gifted artistes to assist with making some of her biggest hits. Sometimes, these gifted songwriters also happen to be artistes who are also popular musicians.

Without further ado, here are 5 Tiwa Savage Songs You Didn't Know Were Written By Popular Nigerian Artistes.

1. Temptation

Tiwa Savage and Sam Smith together released the joint masterpiece that is Temptation housed on Tiwa's third studio album, Celia in 2020. The song is a sweet smooth jam that is such an earworm and such a feel good song. What may surprise you to know about the song though is that amongst the song's writing credits is popular singer, Fireboy DML.

Fireboy DML along with Tiwa, Sam Smith, and a number of other writers actually wrote Temptation together.

2. 49-99

I've already told you about this one before in my list 5 Songs You Didn't Know Were Written By Olamide. If you don't know, when Tiwa Savage had her Genius interview during the promotion of her song 49-99, she revealed that the song was actually written by Nigerian rapper, Olamide.

According to Tiwa Savage, most of the song was already done before she even heard it. She of course added her own self into it and made it into the masterpiece that we know and love today.

3. Save My Life

Tiwa's opening song on her 2020 album, Celia is Save My Life, a very infectious song and immediately captivating song that is very fun to sing along to. What may surprise you to know about the masterpiece of a song though is that it was actually also written by Reekado Banks.

Yup! Reekado Banks, Tiwa Savage, and a number of other writers contributed into making the song into what it is and love today. It was a collective effort.

4. Dangerous Love

Another one of Tiwa's bangers and the lead single from her 2020 album Celia is Dangerous Love. Dangerous Love is a feel-good song about falling for someone you know is no good for you. The song is such a jam and became an instant hit upon release. What you may not know is that the song is also written by the singer, Oxlade.

Oxlade along with Tiwa and a number of writers created the masterpiece we now all know and love as Dangerous Love.

5. Keys to The Kingdom

Tiwa Savage's addition to the Lion King soundtrack, The Gift was the song Keys to the Kingdom which she sang in collaboration with fellow Nigerian singer, Mr. Eazi. What you may not know about the international jam is that the song also has writing credits by the one and only Beyonce.

Yup! It was through the combined effort of Tiwa, Mr. Eazi, Beyonce, and a number of other writers that the song we now know and love as Keys to the Kingdom came to be.
