Sweating is a good way to detox, and may I have that one go for it? This is a good one. Smelly foods only affect your breath, this is false. Hi, I'm Dr. Michelle Henry. I'm a board certified dermatologist practicing in Manhattan, New York. And I'm the founder of Skin and Aesthetic Surgery of Manhattan in NYC. I'm Dr. Devil Bonacelli, a board certified dermatologist here in New York City. Today we'll be debunking myths about body odor. Dermatologists are the skin experts so who knows more about sweat glands than us? Sweating is smelly - so this isn't true! We actually have two types of sweat: sweat that comes from our e-crying glands (in areas like underarms, groin, chest), and sweat produced by African glands (apricorn glands). The sweat from the african glands doesn't smell, but the bacteria in those areas makes it stinky; that was the most beautiful description of sweat I've ever heard! Thanks! So fun fact: there are thousands of different types of bacteria and fungus and yeast on your body.
