It was after six in the morning when I left the house. It was still light. An older man, strutting across the road, unhurried and seemingly oblivious to my presence.

The ideal is rich
In the morning, I went to the office. I took the lift from minus two to the ground floor, and when I got to the ground floor, I got out of the lift, and before I got out, there was an older man with a basin going in, because we are a county and not everyone knows to go down first and then up.
