Electric fence installation prices in kenya
Electric fence installation is one of the most effective security setups you can have at home, business or even an institution. One great advantage they offer is that unlike let's say a CCTV system, an electric fence is pro-active. It deters or prevents an intruder from gaining access to your property. CCTV on the other hand is reactive. You get to view footage of what happened long after the incident occurred. As much as electric fences are a competent security option, the cost of installing one is a major issue for most people. Most clients will want to have one installed but they feel like this could be expensive. This is not the reality though. The cost of an electric fence is actually cheaper than the other convectional fencing methods. There are also many factors that cntribute towards the btotal cost of an electric fence. So let's try and understand how much an electric fence costs and what factors determine this cost. The most common electric fence setup especially for homes and other residential areas is the wall top electric fence. In this setup, an electric fence is built on top of an existing wall. By building it on top of an existing wall, we save on materials and the fence can be completed in 2 days. Now that we know the fence setup that we need, let's explore which factors determine the installation cost of an electric fence. Perimeter of the land to be fenced. This is the number one determinant of the cost of electric fencing. The electric fence is comprised of metallic posts that hold the wires that run the current around the fence structure. Other materials include fence insulators, Galvanized high tensile (HT) wire. The posts are welded in place at intervals of 3 meters. If the perimeter of the land is big, then you need more posts and this increases your costs. You will also require longer HT wire and more strainers will be required. The design of the wall. Most people will want to desin their walls to be as appealing as possible. Some of these wall designs though also increase the quantity of materials that will be used to build your electric fence. If a wall is flat throughout, then we use the standard no of posts. However, if a wall has steps on it or some areas are raised more than others, then extra posts and materials will be needed. This will increase your total costs due to the extra materials. Location of the site. If a site is near and easily accessible for the technicians, then they will charge you less. Their expenses are less and so the labour charges will also be lower. The costs of transporting materials to the site is also minimal. Remote sites on the other hand, face logistical challenges and incur higher transport charges when ferrying the materials to the site. Transport charges for the technicians increase and they have to charge you more. The project duration could also be longer for these far off sites. An electric fence is a great security investment for your home even with the associated costs. It's got some great benefits like most electric fence energizers, the machine that powers your fence, have battery backup systems that ensure your fence works even during power blackouts. This backup batteries can last upto 12 hours which is amazing. Your electric fence can also be connected to a security company who will respond in case of an attempted perimeter bleach.
