The Great Horned God
There was always a chilling breeze right before the witching hour. A chill that would send splinters down your spine. Nothing certain of it ever came. There were never any demonic women out dancing naked beneath a melting moon. Yet children were told to be tucked in long before that time came. Safe in their god protected dream. No businesses stayed open to welcome weary travelers who were lost after making that fateful wrong turn. The men always tripled checked their front and back doors to be well secured. But let me reiterate this key thing… nothing ever happened. At least… nothing that we could see.

How I Blindly Met Love
Scrolling, scrolling, scrolling… its what most of us have been doing lately. My apartment is relatively empty due to the fact that I’ve just moved to the suburbs. I’m quite bored to be truthful. The noise of city cars zooming by, flashing lights from advertisements and the occasional yelling of people out and about is all absent here. I need excitement. It’s like I have this thirst to live a little, let my hair down, take risks… just be unapologetically me. Sounds super spiritual, huh? Yes, in an attempt to connect with my inner self, I’ve decided to uproot my life and look for a deeper truth. I guess that’s the best way to describe my sudden change of scenery, but now all I have to keep me company is a lonely apartment and my boxes of wine I got as a subscription to “Wine Cellar”.

Cinderella Re-Mix
We begin this tale on a rainy night, Cindy’s mother has just died. She went peacefully, but before she went, she told her daughter “Never let the bastards get you down.” The proceeding days followed as any mourning behaviors would. Cindy’s father, Herbert, was completely distraught… mind, body, soul… he struggled to exist. Yet, the first year is always the hardest, and after 365 days Herbert felt it was necessary to date again. Luckily, he didn’t have to look far. His neighbor, Samantha, was also a widow and was left with two, twin teenage daughters, about Cindy’s age, their names were Hilda and Olga. Hilda was as lean as an olive branch, but as bitter as bitter melon (with matching complexion). Olga on the other hand, was smooth and round, but had teeth facing in every direction except straight. Samantha and Herbert only felt it was natural for them to date, which led to a hasty marriage… six months in and the couple were happily wed.

Meeting The Witch
NOTE: This is a section of a book I'm working on therefore some information may come across confusing. It was my eighth day of school when I met my teacher. I decided I would take the long way home, avoiding Cadence and her band of cheerleading bitches. I didn’t bother telling Saint Greg that I would be walking home again, I didn’t have the patience to hear his reassuring or pleading rants about how he is here for me and “we’re a family now”. Please… they weren’t even married yet and he felt obligated to look after me like a worried sick mother.

There was a girl, as many stories go, but this one had eyes of honey and a voice as crisp as morning dew. Her mother warned her of the woods, which lurked just beyond their white picketed fence, but she paid no mind to these words and left them at the door. With feet as light as air she hurried off one day… as the young do, to see where this path of chaotic dreams would lead her. And so, this is where it truly begins… at the edge of destruction the youth is set out to make or break their fragile souls. I do wonder, what happens to those who don’t pass the horrid test of the great unknown?

Red Becomes The Wolf
There are places woman should go and places she shouldn’t; although just as well…those places shouldn’t provoke her to become the wolf, because a wolf you will get. This story takes place in downtown Los Angeles. City of fallen dreams, forgotten morals and broken wings. Nothing about this world is forgiving, but there’s just something about the run-down streets of a city that make you see the true ugliness of our today leaders. Red, a seventeen old girl, on the cusp of womanhood, is a product of our broken system. She steals to feed herself and her grandma, and she lies to the police about the drug deals that go on around her neighborhood because she knows others need to eat too. Red is just a typical girl living in a typical world that’s out to make it for themselves. She’s not yet fully aware of how much her life is controlled. She doesn’t yet understand that it’s the men who run the system and who make it hard for her family to get proper support. She’s knows its broken, but she doesn’t yet see how much they love to control.
