The Disabled Enabler!
Life is full of defining decisions, and it would seem that mine is fuller than most these days. I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis in 2019. The news that I have an incurable autoimmune disease with only one goal, putting me in a wheelchair, would have been enough, but oh no, I got a diagnosis of Celiac in the same week.

Public Schools Along The Border Are Overflowing......
My current situation will result in a split personality, I am sure! That is a lie because the split has already occurred! I live in a relatively little border town. I teach in a middle school one city to the west of where I reside. First, I need to vehemently state that I love my job, and I love my neighborhood. However, love may not have a place in issues of the law and where I find myself this lovely August morning.

Prophetic Realities
The dream's narrative is always the same, night after night until I am so exhausted I don't dream at all. The scene will and has changed over the years, but the dream and the dread it causes remain constant. I've never told anyone about this particular dream until today because to speak about it might give it the power it needs to manifest and come true. I know, don't be so judgemental, it's what I believe, and this belief has served me well throughout my life.

Defining My Hometown
I grew up in the small, tourist town of Helen, Georgia. Helen is located at the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River in the farthest corner of North East Georgia. I grew up with the banks of this river at my back door and never learned to swim!

I moved to Arizona in 2011 with four of my five children as my oldest had already established a home back east. I was recently divorced and when I moved to Southern Arizona and the only known in my life was that I had my savings, my kids, and the home I had rented.
