ADHD and Me
My Journey with ADHD People with atypical neurology often find themselves not knowing where they fit in society. From an early age, people with ADHD find themselves at odds with an educational system that forces them to sit down and focus for hours on end. Once a child gets home from school, they are expected to sit down and focus even longer on their homework. These tasks feel directly counter-intuitive to the way their mind works. For a child with ADHD, it can feel as though the institutions they must participate in are specifically designed to work against them; a round peg being forced into a square hole.

Benny & the Thing in the Basement
Benny ordered two Hawaiian pizzas with cheesy bread sticks, hot wings, and a full 2 liter Mountain Dew. His mom was out of town at a knitting convention, and he was gonna game all weekend. He was thinking he’d play some WoW, some LoL, then space it out with some anime while he ate the pile of junk food at his disposal. He even remembered to stop and grab some antacids while he was buying chips and candy at the store.

Maintenance Request
Harold gripped the steering wheel of the small deck boat with white knuckles. He flinched as icy specks of lake water misted his round glasses. Being on open water reminded him of almost drowning as a child, and the lake still terrified him.

Love You Forever
The classic children’s book "Love You Forever" by Robert Munsch starts off with a kid who is a force of destruction. He flushes his mom’s watch down the toilet and makes a huge mess. This kid knew how to push his mom's buttons. The recurring motif of this book is the song she sings to him that goes, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."

Part 1: After the Apocalypse At work in a corporate sound studio, T-Hope mixed music in despondence. He yawned and rubbed his eyes. He made a record scratch effect on his nanotech turntables that was so unenthusiastic it sounded like a seagull’s last squawk before flying into a jet engine. He sighed. Seven years ago, the K-Pop-Apocalypse changed everything.
