Blue Hour: The Disappearance of Nick Brandreth, directed by Daniel Bowhers, was a surprising hidden gem for me. Tubi recommended it to me one day, and I was surprised I’d never heard anything about it. Honestly, I wasn’t a huge fan of the film on the first watch. I expected something different than I got and had to readjust my expectations before giving it a second shot. Despite some clunky, inconsistent acting and questionable writing choices, it's a delightful watch.

No, You Should Actually Vote
It’s hard to find words to describe how it has felt living through the last 25 or so years of American politics. The best I can do is “soul-numbing.” It’s been overwhelming, disappointing and often scary. It feels like we’re constantly on the precipice of losing a lot, and it’s difficult to tell how much of that is fear mongering or not. In addition, it feels like the ultra-rich and extremists are in control. When you’re beaten over the head with negativity and given bad options, it seems easier to fall into apathy and refuse to participate.

That damn doorbell camera's sensor was way too sensitive. One of these days, she would replace it with a less annoying home security system. Her music resumed, and Wendy returned to her daydream and put her laundry away.

I’ve gotten used to dodging when shit starts flying. My reflexes aren’t as good as Augusto’s, of course, but I consider them above average. They kinda have to be when your big brother has spent most of his life getting himself into trouble with his superpowers. After years of being swept up in mini-tornadoes I’ve learned how to get the hell out of the way in a real hurry.
