Why Trump is still a force to be reckoned with
BRYCE ON POLITICS - The fight is not over. When Presidents Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush lost their re-election bids, they quietly faded away and became nothing but footnotes in history. They primarily occupied their time by building their presidential libraries. None considered a second run for the presidency. They had had enough. However, the same cannot be said about former President Trump. Building a library is the last thing on his mind. Retaking the White House and cleaning up the Washington Swamp is of paramount importance to him.

Who are the Domestic Terrorists?
BRYCE ON POLITICS - Depends on your interpretation and political party. The term "terrorist" came into vogue during the 1970's as we experienced a spike in airline skyjackings. This, of course, led to the tightening of security measures at airports. I'm old enough to remember life before this, back when you just showed up at the airport, walked on the plane and handed your ticket to the stewardess. Yes, it was that easy, and flying was fun. Not anymore, TSA has seen to that.

If You Can't Beat 'Em, Join 'Em?
BRYCE ON POLITICS - Subverting the Democrats. I have been a loyal Republican for almost 50 years. I have worked on campaigns, written political copy, and voted regularly. However, when the Republicans in Congress recently turned their back on President Trump during the stolen election and ensuing impeachment, they revealed their true spineless character as "Republicans In Name Only" (RINO). Unfortunately, this goes beyond the federal level, and down to the state, county, and municipal levels. Even party officials at the county and club levels are deemed weaklings by grassroots constituents, simply for their blind obedience. Consequently, people by the thousands are fleeing the GOP.

Trying to kick Trump under the Bus
BRYCE ON POLITICS – How the Swamp tries to fight back. What we are witnessing, as we transition from one presidential administration to another, is political theater at its worst, including a second impeachment of President Trump, and an overt offensive against Trump supporters. While the Democrats try to disgrace President Trump by kicking him under the bus, the reality is they are not kidding anyone but themselves. While these shenanigans go on, the country has stalled and the affairs of the nation are not being addressed, except by President Trump in his final days. That is a fact.

Thank You President Trump
BRYCE ON POLITICS - For enlightening us on the evils of Washington, DC. As the tenure of Donald J. Trump comes to an end, let me be the first to say, "Thank you Mister President for your service." The Democrats won't say it, the News Media certainly won't, and don't hold your breath for the Republicans, but as a member of the American populace, I offer my sincerest gratitude for going above and beyond the call of duty. Despite constant resistance from the Congress, a News Media bent on undermining your every move, and fair-weather friends in your own party, you accomplished more than the two terms of your predecessor and undoubtedly more than your successor.

Living in a News Vacuum
BRYCE ON AMERICAN JOURNALISM - And turning the public into reporters. As we all know, one cannot survive in a physical vacuum as our bodies require air. Nor can we make intelligent decisions in a news vacuum void of honest journalism, thereby falling prey to propagandists. Admittedly, American journalism was founded on political opinion as many different newspapers spun the news as far back as the 18th century. However, nobody at the time made a coordinated effort to control the news as there were many different players involved at the time.

It's Show Time 2020!
BRYCE ON POLITICS - Finally, it's election day. Put the signs, the flags, and the hate away, it is finally time to make a decision; it is election day. Many of you have already voted by absentee ballot and early-voting, which is to be commended, but understand this, the lion's share of votes will come today. Out of a population of 331 million citizens, less than half will vote in the 2020 election. Estimates show a record high 150 million citizens will vote. As I recently reported, the candidates will end up spending another record of $11 Billion in campaigning, thereby assuring the media continues to grow unabated. At this rate, the candidates are spending approximately $73 on each voter.

As Florida Goes, So Goes the Country
BRYCE ON POLITICS – Bryce’s prediction for the 2020 presidential election. It’s time for me to announce my prediction for the 2020 presidential election. I was right on the money in 2016 and in 2018 for the mid-term elections, and I did it without the aid of the polls which, as I discovered, are totally useless. Instead, I rely on the voting data received from the Florida Board of Elections which routinely updates their numbers, thereby providing me with the means to study trends. Let me show you how I did it.

And the Winner is...
BRYCE ON POLITICS – The answer may surprise you. You might be interested to know, the winner of the 2020 presidential race will not be one of the declared candidates, but rather the news media. It doesn’t seem that long ago we had our first $1 Billion campaign, shocking everyone, but we are now well past this point. In fact, according to Opensecrets.org, which tracks campaign donations, 2020 will likely end up costing a whopping $11 Billion, thereby smashing all prior records, the last being 2016 where candidates spent up to $6.5 Billion. In the presidential campaigns alone, Opensecrets estimates approximately $5.2 Billion will have been spent, easily beating the 2008 election record of $2.8 Billion.

What it Means to Vote for Joe Biden
BRYCE ON POLITICS - What can we assume about a vote for Mr. Biden? I'm trying to figure out why people will vote for former VP Joe Biden in the November presidential election. Certainly, many will vote due to their loyalty to the Democrat party, or perhaps they believe the spin of the Main Stream Media. Some will vote for Mr. Biden simply because they despise Donald Trump. Am I getting warm?

Four years ago, almost to the day, I wrote a similar column where I explained my reasons for supporting Donald Trump for president.
