Your Hands Around My Throat
With a gun against my head and your hand on the trigger, I chose you. Sad part is, I’d do it all over again. Because you’re the only home I’ve ever known that wasn’t broken, so please believe me as the lies dance off your tongue when I tell you you are magic, when your best act is bringing me down. When your words are venom and I drop dead. Please remember the look in my eyes when you said “goodbye” and I couldn’t believe such a beautiful voice could produce such heart breaking words. my heart shattered and no one came along with glue, and maybe that’s the reason I’d still choose you, because you’ve came with the glue so many times before and you construct me to destruct me and a vicious cycle it is, but isn’t something so beautiful about destruction? Even if I am the destruction? Maybe because that’s the most beautiful I will be, maybe because I’ve always wanted to be beautiful and only felt it with your hands around my throat. Something about my gasps for help sounded so melodic that I wouldn’t mind if they didn’t stop.
