Music is a way we as humans have created to be able to express ourselves and share personal experiences with others. We use different forms of poetry within our music to convey what we are trying to say. Sometimes the artist may stretch the truth to try to get their point across. Or use imagery or metaphors to descibe what they are trying to say. Music has always been intriguing to me and for as long as I can remember I've been listening to music. I tend to gravitate towards music that speaks to me on a personal level or that I am able to connect with emotionally. Creating this connection between the artist and listener is a great way to create connections that are lasting between the creator and fan. As I've grown up and gone through things I haven't always known how to say what I am feeling. That's when I decided to give music a try.

broken
Hi! I'm a songwriter and I express my feelings through music. It's hard for me to find the right words to say and I often don't know how to express what I'm thinking. This can make relationships difficult for me because I struggle to express my emotions. However, I'm grateful for music and its ability to let me express myself in a meaningful way.

Unlovable
Do you ever feel unlovable? Like no one ever wants to see you because I do. Some days I feel like I could never be loved. Nobody would ever want me, especially if they really knew me like I know myself. I know all my deepest darkest secrets but they're just that, secrets. No one knows those things yet I still feel like no one could love me but here is the crazy thing the one who does know everything about me, my creator. He knows these things yet he still loves me! He even sent his son to die for me and for you, despite my biggest flaws. He loves me despite the fact that I struggle. He loves me even when I don't feel like I can be loved. I am unlovable yet loved. I've released a song that dives into this feeling! You can stream it here.

Dear Biden
Dear Biden, You are taking office in such a broken time. The unrest in this country is on a constant rise and there are hurting people across this nation. You will be given the chance to unite our country or drive it further apart. I cannot say I agree with you or even wanted you to win this election, but you did win and now you are my president. I will wish you the best and even give you the benefit of the doubt that you will do what is best for this country. I hope you will have the wisdom and discernment you will need to lead a broken nation into unity and growth. I want to see America be the land of the free, a thriving nation not one where you say something someone doesn't like your voice is silenced and your life ruined. That's not freedom in fact it is quite the opposite.

Goodbye Trump
Dear Trump, Let's start this letter by thanking you for what you have done with your four years as the office of the President of the United States of America. You don't get any of the credit you deserve. And the media continues to drag your name through the mud. You have done so much for our country but it seems everybody could care less. Our economy is booming and has never been stronger. You were blamed for the stock market crash last year but we were in the midst of a pandemic and no one could have prevented what happened. Even though the pandemic is not over the stock market is back to soaring before you leave the office of the President of the United States of America. You have been labeled as a racist and yet the unemployment for minorities has never been lower than what it was before the pandemic where people lost their jobs in large amounts. Thank you for working to make the American people thrive by bringing jobs to America and not driving them away. I will never understand why these past few weeks you have been under attack by big tech after all you did for them. People hated you for your support towards large corporations now everyone stands with them to be against you. I hope as Americans we can learn to admit when someone from an opposite standpoint from us does something that is good. I am tired of America's two-party system which yes you did play a part in so you have become part of the problem. But you also disrupted this system by saying what you think and not caring about the normality of politics.

Be Inspired
So if you clicked on this, I assume you want to write music or express yourself in some other creative manner. If this is the case, I hope you will read this and not just read the words I have written but take them and apply what you have read to your life today. I want you to pursue this passion for music that is inside of you. Maybe it's not music that is a burning passion in you but something else. That is okay because this post can still encourage you. My goal is to encourage you to the point you will reach for your goals with everything you have.

Snow Day
I woke up this morning to a winter wonderland outside. These frigid temperatures and the snow-covered ground have me reminiscing about my childhood and the fun we would have any time it snowed. I remember being so excited when there was even a chance of snow, especially on a weekday. If we even had a slight chance to get a snow day that would make little me's whole week much more exciting! Sometimes I wish I could return to a time when everything was much more simple. Where the biggest worries were so minuscule and unimportant. A time where I didn't have to worry about if my choice would screw up the whole rest of my life. Looking at the bigger picture of life, it does not matter who had a crush on who back in middle school. Looking back now, it does not even matter who the smartest kid in class was or if you always had your homework in on time. Yes, those things are important and if you are still in school try to do your work on time and do your best in your classes but remember the world won't end if you slip up once or twice.
