Park Central Vibes
I’ve had the pleasure of working at several properties in New York City. After a couple of years over at the Doubletree by Hilton Metropolitan, I moved on over to its sister property. The Park Central Hotel, the realest property I have ever worked at and I have plenty of stories to tell!

The Vibe Horoscope
I’ve never had a problem with Capricorn, I find this sign to be funny and quite carefree. When I imagine Capricorn, I think of My Little Pony! This brings a smile to my face as I used to love watch the cartoon. My Little Pony was actually how I learned how to braid hair. Let’s see what I discover in my Astrology book, The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need by Joanna Martine Woolfolk.

Smith’s Bar
Once upon a time, this place was my Cheers and my name is not Diane.. it’s Diana. I have plenty of stories on this joint. Hell’s Kitchen, NYC. I saw this bar go from rags to pretty dolled up rags I mean riches. That part of town has most certainly been dolled up in the recent years. I remember when Smith’s underwent renovations, it went from hole in the wall vibes to Broadway! Lots of big lights, we jokingly asked for bottle service when we really meant Heineken and Bud Light. Who introduced me to this joint? Just some guy who saved my life.. long story so I will take it nice and easy on you darling. Stay with me a while and I will share with you how I too found love in a hopeless place!

My Easy Baken Oven
So many things bothered me in my life especially being the daughter to a Murdered father. Was not easy growing up hated by everyone, it seemed like. Took me 38 years to find out why, upon the knowledge of my father’s murder I immediately decided to change my life and made changes geared towards a positive lifestyle. So many years of wanting to disappear for the first time ever.. I wanted to live! Was not easy but I am happy to report that in February, we will be celebrating one year of wellness! Congratulations!! I didn’t know I could do it but I knew last year I needed to make a change.. (look at the world) the last thing I want after living a traumatic life was to be like them. And now even more the importance of a positive lifestyle because I have children who did not ask to be born, it is an absolute must that I do not fail. This time around, I’ve go too much to lose.

Crystals for Beginners
As we gear up to celebrate one year of wellness coming up in February, I must give credit where credit is due. This book was beyond helpful in healing naturally. It has been a blessing! It helped me with my mantras and I have since created some Natural Rx’s based on some of the Crystals and Stones I have learned about in this book. Please check out my wellness page on Facebook! Online Botanica Natural Wellness Shop. Nothing is for sale, I simply share knowledge in all I have learned since I began my Spiritual Journey in February 2021. This is an amazing book for first timers like me, written by Karen Frazier! Thank you for such amazing knowledge, wellness matters and my wish is for more of the world to rely on Nature. I know there are extreme cases but before we rush to pop a pill for our ailments, let’s give Nature a try.

Hotel Diary
I just love hotel slang, only those who have worked in the Hospitality industry will understand the beast that is... Customer Service. I am intrigued by human behavior, so working in the hotel industry is just perfect for me! The things I have witnessed are a must see, to say the least. I will not stop writing about my experiences until we are on the big screen! Working in Hospitality has been quite an experience, I thought I saw it all in the Stripper World.. nope.. some of the weirdest things I have witnessed have been at the workplace not club place.. as weird as that may be, so I am happy to share!

Speed Dating Memory Lane
To sum this experience up in one word; CALIENTE! However, I do not recommend my life for anyone, I am thankful I survived madness and came out with grace. Now I have lots of stories to share, makes me proud of the person I have become today. But back in 2011, I was starting to become someone I would later hate. For many years I have felt like a failure, despite my achievements, my depression had me fucked up! Glad that part of my life is over, now I speak.

The Man, The Myth, The Veteran
All my life I never knew anything about my father. We were very limited in what we were told about him. I knew he was married but not to my mother. I am the product of an affair. My father actually paid for my presence with currency as he paid for my mother to have a tubal ligation reversal and eventually he paid with his life. So I must live honorably as a result. It is my absolute honor to introduce to you the Korean War Veteran who was my father, Alfred Costas Lopez. Borinqueneer, drafted from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and dumped in cold Korea way back when. He is the reason why I have a speacial place in my heart for the drafted soldier. Something happens to you mentally when you are plucked out of one environment and placed in another. Something even worse happens when you’re instructed to kill or be killed. I will be researching and sharing knowledge on our Veterans. It is my belief that we do not do enough for our Soldiers as a society and due to lack of knowledge we have failed our Veterans, as Americans we must do better. My hopes in sharing our story is that true US History be taught in our schools not just on holidays but as a standard curriculum. How can we respect our Veterans if we know nothing of them? I am currently reading Navajo Code Talkers, they were instrumental in helping win WW2. I am 40 years old and this is the first I hear of Native Americans helping win this war. I know I am not alone on this. Although I am happy to share what I have learned on Social Media, I question why this is not taught in school. Lack of knowledge eventually leads to lack of respect and my heroes can’t have that. My freedom of Speech and freedom of Religion have been a blessing for me in my journey so I must return the favor. Saying thank you goes a long way but I do hope that my writings will encourage schools to change their curriculum to add more knowledge on our military. Although my father was taken from me too soon as I was only one year old when he was murdered, I’ve carried myself militantly my whole life. Even in my failures I’ve carried myself with honesty. I walk tall, shoulders back. I feared no man until I fell into a deep depression and was silent for many years but upon the knowledge of my father’s murder, now I speak. What my father needed most was not a mistress but a true friend because something does happen to our Soldiers when battling, you add racism to mix and this combination could be deadly. I plan on researching the treatment of our Veterans on a deeper level, because it is my belief that our Soldiers come back from War unwell and are not cared for properly. The lack of knowledge provided by our schools is a major clue in this belief. One morning I was walking my beloved dog Brownie and bumped into a Vet who was also walking his dog. I asked him how does the discharge process go, he said they just hand you a paper letting you know you are done. We must do better for our Soldiers and education is step one in this matter. The earlier we teach our children about the importance of the Military the more caring and compassionate we will be towards our Veterans and the blessing in this is that we will conduct ourselves with respect. I am a firm believer that the lack of knowledge causes great trouble in our society. Have you seen how the world is doing as of late? We must do better, it is my belief that I lost out on a father because of lack of knowledge. It is my belief that perhaps my father was not well upon his return from war. This was back in the 50’s when racism was the norm. I suspect my father suffered a lot in serving this country and due to the lack of knowledge therefore also lack of respect he ultimately lost his life. When someone loses their life, we must immediately forgive their sins. Unfortunately this did not happen as when I presented the truth regarding my father it was as if he was still here. He was hated, the treatment I received confirms this fact. I am proud in how I carried myself despite the treatment I received and I get this from my father, who was a Veteran and is my hero. God bless my father and God bless our US Military! Whether by land, sea or in the office our basic human rights are covered and we must acknowledge this. Saying thank you to a Soldier goes along way. Stick around with me and I will share more information on our Military, I will not stop writing until it is taught in our schools!

The Vibe Horoscope
As an Aries, this sign was a quite difficult one to study. Aries could be emotional at times so I’ve had to work very hard to overcome Aries challenges. I love Astrology because you can use your Zodiac sign as a guide to help you be the best you! And fun fact, the Buddha does not downplay Astrology.. green light! Let’s go Taurus! Of course there is special meaning to your birth and Astrology let’s you know just how special you are, you’ll learn about the good qualities and about the not so good qualities. I’ve had to put in work to be a good Aries and if I can do it.. so can you! I refer to Taurus as a secret Aries y no me gusta! I don’t like secrets! That’s my personal opinion, at least with Aries you already know we are weird and wild from the jump. I don’t like to find out someone is weird or wild.. it’s disturbing when you have to find out. Enough on my personal feelings, let’s see where my books guide me. In the beginning of my Spiritual Journey, I would search in my books. Now that I have become more comfortable I just open the books and let it guide me.

Karen Vasquez Paralegal
I’ve had just about every job title you can imagine. Although as a child, I wanted to be a lawyer I never took it beyond a wish. God has granted me nearly every childhood wish. As soon as I get my hands on a law book, all of my childhood wishes will have been granted. There is truth to the saying, “make a wish”. God has been with me every step of the way. Wishes I never told anyone have been granted, like making soap at home with my son. I saw a commercial years ago of someone making soap with her son and I thought that would be nice. Never told anyone, not even my son and years later we are making soap! Check out my Online Botanica Natural Wellness Shop on Facebook! Nothing is for sale. I share Science, Nature and the word of God on that page and I am quite proud in how it has grown! God has been waiting on me to surrender and as of February 2021, I did. My blessings began immediately, though quite painful I am proud of myself and my children during this process. I had to remove myself from so many people I thought loved me. They actually hated me, why? Their unhandled trauma that’s why. With the grace of God I am now able to share my story. I have some funny stories to tell so I am ready to rock and roll! Storytelling time!

The Vibe Podcast
I have always had a wild life and something told me to prepare myself. All of the sudden I wanted a guitar, then I began to research Podcast equipment and it all kinda happened. What I didn’t expect was to lose nearly everything and everyone. I had no idea I was surrounded by so many abusers and haters. I am thankful God prepared me for this through my baptism in 2017. No way would I be able to handle such betrayal. I have always been protective of myself and my name. I even changed my son’s last name to Costas because I raised him on my own. But something happened to me mentally when Biden took over, this stimulus money we were getting didn’t feel right so I decided to invest in myself and applied to have The Vibe Podcast trademarked. The purpose of the show is to teach how spirituality, culture and music saved my life. I want to teach that you can heal from trauma naturally and beautifully plus I want to tell you some of my wild and funny stories. Storytelling makes me happy, sometimes I co-host with my son. Sometimes he hosts episodes by himself, I couldn’t have accomplished this goal without my children. My daughter Mia is my inspiration to do better every day, because of her I have moved mountains and I know her future is bright. My son Gabe has turned into my protector and has evolved beautifully in this process. Because he’s so down for his mother without hesitation, he will be blessed. His grades have improved miraculously since we began our Spiritual Journey in February, has not been easy but I know our sacrifices will be worth it one day. My wish is to be a fulltime writer, the podcast actually belongs to my children as they are more artistic than me but hustling is my game. I suffer so they won’t have to so I put in my blood, sweat and tears into the project. Gabe is a gifted artist and we have dreams of coming out with an animated series more details on that coming soon! Mia is a very hands on type of kid, she likes DIY’s so I can’t wait to get into merchandise ideas with her! Our future is bright. I am forever proud of myself for deciding to trademark the company because boy the things and people that have been revealed to me have been unreal to say the least. So unreal that I must share our story in an effort prevent this kind of treatment to any other human being ever again. Children do not ask to be born so it is up to us parents to give them our best shot towards a bright and happy future for our Angels. We recently wrapped up Season 1 of The Vibe Podcast and all I can say is Wow.. I think of the song by Kanye West; Through the Wire and it reminds me of me. Some episodes I must admit are short and the sound quality lacked in some episodes lol but even through the wire we still pulled through and gave our best shot. These episodes were recorded while I was out of a job for three months with no income, while breaking away from toxic people and being taken to court. Also lost temporary custody of my daughter. We are currently working to get a sense of normalcy and I am a firm believer of justice and I know the truth will set me free. I used this time away from my daughter to hustle hard. This time for my life, through the wire we continued recording. A publisher has since reached out to me and I am working on my first book! I am now a blogger and I am loving how life is going. The only thing that’s missing is my little girl. We have our visits and thank God for FaceTime but every thing happens for a reason. When things don’t go my way I thank God for the chastisement because it’s another opportunity to do better. My hopes is that I have made my daughter proud as it is my honor to have changed my life to honor my beloved father’s memory and for my children’s sake. No way could I allow any of them to suffer even remotely in the ways I have. I needed to heal properly in order for me to become the person God destined me to be. Now I have lots of stories to share as a result! I am thankful for all of the blessings I have received and it’s an honor to share our story of healing naturally. We hope to return for more stories on the podcast sometime in early 2022! In the meantime check out The Vibe Podcast! Available on many platforms! You will see my mug! Thank you for reading and enjoy the vibe!
