Wuthering Heights Quotes
Although the Brontes stories are often tortured and upsetting, perhaps most of all Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, and no matter how much I personally dislike Wuthering Heights or Jane Eyre, I will admit that the Brontes were good writers. Did Charlotte Bronte Hate Jane Austen?
In my senior year of highschool we had to read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte for an English project. I had recently finished reading Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen, and quickly noticed similarities between the two novels. This led me to research Charlotte Bronte, to see if she was at all inspired by Austen, and that was why the books were similar. What I found was not at all what I was expecting!

I Watched Four Different Jane Eyre Adaptations So You Don't Have To
In my search for the best Jane Eyre adaptation I watched four different adaptations, spanning almost 7 decades of film. Today I'll be ranking them from what I think is the worst adaptation to the best. I have tried my hardest to not let my overall hatred of the story influence how I rank the movies (because they are all telling the same horrible story) and instead focus on how they tell them, what works and what doesn't. Of course some of my original feelings on the story bleed through, especially when I was thinking about the preformances from the actors. But I digress, here is the worst to best Jane Eyre adaptation.

My Most Anticipated Movie of 2022. Top Story - July 2022.
As someone who became an Austen fan (or I should say obsessed, crazy fan) relatively recently, this was the first movie adaption that I followed throughout the announcement of the movie to the actual release date. When I found out that they were making a new Persuasion movie I was most excited, especially because Henry Golding was going to be in it, but when I say my heart hurts after watching just the trailer- I'm not even kidding.
