In the year 2147, the world was a patchwork of neon-lit megacities and desolate wastelands, stitched together by the fragile threads of human ambition. The skies were choked with drones, their ceaseless hum a reminder of the omnipresent Network—a global AI system that controlled everything from traffic to food distribution. In the underbelly of New Cascadia, a sprawling coastal city glowing under a perpetual electric haze, a woman named Kael lived on the fringes, hacking the Network for scraps of freedom.

Among the countless volumes, one book held a place of honor: _The Book on Top_.
