Creating During COVID
We all have struggled during this global COVID-19 pandemic, but have we ever thought about how it is affecting creators like you and me? With my state being shut down, it hasn't given me many opportunities to go out and do much besides going for walks and it kind of made me go crazy.

My First Experience With Sexism Targeted At Me
I love where I work. It’s a great company that takes care of their employees and treats them like family. They have given me great opportunities to grow in my new career, even though I have only been employed there for a few months. I have a career in vehicle service at a car dealership, a field that is mostly done by men. No big deal to me, but I get comments quite often about how “It’s great to see women working here.” I take that as a compliment because it makes me feel accomplished. I get those nice compliments from mostly women. I think that is because they can establish trust easier with another woman versus a man, but I may be mistaken. Most of my male customers have been very nice to me and treated me with respect, minus a select few. Usually I can handle this disrespect from customers no problem, but the other day we had a situation that I will never tolerate: sexism towards me and another one of my female co-workers.

I’m Adopted!
The coolest fact about me is that I am adopted. For some reason people think that’s really rare and interesting. I guess I don’t see it as interesting because it was a normal thing for me. I always knew that another woman gave birth to me and gave me and my sister up so we could have better lives. It is something that I am very thankful for because my life growing up was amazing. I had two parents who loved me even though I wasn’t their’s biologically. They gave my sister and I the best life possible! Fun fact: my sister and I are actual blood sisters, adopted from the same family, but at different times! Kind of cool, right?

Don’t Move In With Him, Stupid! Written By Taylor Hagemann
Sorry for the abrasive title but oh boy, this ones gonna be messy! I want you to know, I’m not directly calling anyone “stupid” besides myself. Today I am going to (try) and dig deep into why you shouldn’t live with a significant other until you’re both ready. You might think that living together would be fun, right? WRONG. Throw that idea away because eighty percent of the time you will ultimately break up. Actually, probably more than eighty percent of the time, I was just trying to be nice. I am writing this for people who are dating so if you’re married this does not pertain to you directly. This is one hundred percent an opinion piece, and yes, I am trying to scare you. Living with a boyfriend or girlfriend sucks.

Mental Health Month: The Repercussions of Living in “Another Dimension”
I’m staying with the theme of Mental Health Month! Today I wanted to touch base on a topic that I didn’t have to do much research on. My mind has been very fuzzy lately and I haven’t been able to concentrate at all so research wasn’t in the cards for me. My topic this week is, “Repercussions of Living in Another Dimension.” The reason why is because being in my last relationship was like being in an episode of The Twilight Zone.

Tackling Jealousy
Jealousy isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s human nature. It’s natural to feel jealous from time to time. Jealousy becomes tricky when we act out in jealousy or we wallow in it. It becomes questionable when it starts to consume you and creeps into every aspect of your life and you find yourself feeling bitter and angry most of the time.

Mental Health Month: My Mental Health Story
When I was doing research for blog topics, I came across Mental Health American, the nation’s leading community-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and promoting the overall mental health of all Americans, and their Million In May campaign. The goal for the campaign this year is to encourage as many people to take a free mental health screening and reach one million mental health screenings! May is Mental Health Month so I thought it would be cool if I shared my mental health story with everyone. I have talked about my mental health struggles before, but I don’t think I have gone into very much detail. Opening up about this stuff is kind of scary, but I think it will be worth it.
