The Bull and the Dove
On the dusty road, with my human’s supplies on my back, we finally made it to the small town. Entering through the front gate and stopping near an inn, my human takes a green snake and from its mouth water pours into a round wooden water carrier and brings it to me so I can drink.

Por el camino de la caléndula
Waking up with a stretch and a yawn, I find that it’s still night out. Sometimes I think my body is trying to sabotage me by depriving me of sleep, but jokes on it, I’m just gonna get a drink of water and head back to bed to get some needed rest before work. Removing the blanket, I lift my head from my comfy pillow and precede to step onto the floor. That’s when I start to feel something, not the comfy roughness of my carpet, but a soft texture, like I’m stepping in a bundle of silky cloth. I look down found my feet in the midst of marigold petals, and then allow my eyes to follow a straight line of the reddish-orange flower out my bedroom door.

The Curse of The Irish
Today’s just like any other regular day. I get up from my bed, after being rudely awaken by my phone’s annoying ringtone to go to the bathroom, to take a hot shower, brush my teeth and shave, then finally making a quick breakfast of scramble eggs and coffee. As I don my work attire, vest and name tag, to work at the super-market, I hear my doorbell ring. Placing the vest on my kitchen table, I walk over to the door to see who could possibly be coming to my house this early in the morning.

To Apply as a Baker's Apprentice
Murry’s Bakery, where there’s a little magic in every bite. It’s because of this bakery that I decided to become a baker. Back when I was a four-year-old, my parents took me to Murray’s to pick out a cake for my birthday. Stepping inside I felt I was sent to a heaven made entirely of sweets. Cake, pie, cookies, my childlike mind wanted to figure how I could put all of the sugary gems into my pockets. That imaginative state of mind was cut short when my mom called my name and asked which cake would I like.

The EMP Heart
Drained, if there was one word to describe the world around me, that word would come to mind. It’s the one explanation of how we all become emotionless, lack connection, and allow robotic monstrosities to feed off us. Similar to what our ancestors called vampires, the creatures made of metal and wires suck our life force as we sit, while our eyes are mesmerized by the blank screens. Tubes latched to the back of our skulls like leeches, mysteriously yet unfailingly pull our life force to the center of our city, this center called the Hive. Hive gives the monsters the energy they need to continue the process of turning our world into a giant computer system, and it’s there that I must save my people and snap them out of their imprisoned daze they are in.
